Stopped by this trailer park to enquire about renting a space for my RV. Had to ask around then search for the managers office! Once I located the mngr. Space, I knocked on the door, waited approx. 1 min. Until some rude & judgemental woman who was reluctant to even open the door to talk! Finally, after she opened the door just enough to put her head out to talk. I kindly introduced myself then stated why I was there & requested for info on what I needed to do to rent one of the dozen or so empty spaces I counted on my way in. The mngr. Gave me her cell phone # told me to text the # & she will send me a short questionare then depending on my answers she will consider if I can rent a space! So, I answer the 5 questions she included in her text sent it back to her & wouldn't you know it? That sorry piece of you know what tells me that my RV exceeded the 20yr. Old limit permitted to park in the place! When I drove into the place I was counting all the 12 free spaces available & while doing so made a mental note about the many very old single wide mobile homes that looked older than the dirt that carpeted the old rundown trailer park! Plus, there were three Motorhomes renting spaces there that exceeded farther past the 20 year limit than my 25 foot 1986 Ford Tioga! Shoot, one of them looked like it could have been the very first motorhome ever built! It's not like this park was one of them real nice 4 or 5 star trailer parks that has a big ol swimming pool, banquet hall, car washing area and clean spaces throughout! This trailer park been in that spot since before I was born! I remember seeing that place as I grew up! I went to school right down the street, grew up half my life not too far from it too! am 50 now, so that gives you a perspective on how old it is. It does have a couple positives though! There's a 7 eleven, KFC, gas station all on the corner less than half a block. Right across the street is a BK, liquor store again/Mexican grocery store, tire shop, several little food places as well as a couple cellular dealers & discount stores! Minutes from capitol expwy. Capitol drive in, yadah yada yada! The park is old rundown & not sure about price cuz she never gave me one! But, I can take a wild guess & say the price is way...
Read moreIn town for work from Texas...Stayed for a little over 2 months at Sleepy Hollow and it was great. Every neighbor I had was friendly and polite. Partially shaded spot. The park is quiet as far as the neighbors. It's on the corner of Monterey Hwy and Senter Rd, so there is some unavoidable road noise, depending which spot you get. This is not a new RV resort, not a ton of amenities, but full hookups, laundry room on-site and a great location. Not many RV parks in the area, that I could find. This park used to be a mobile home park, but it's now mostly RV's. Joni is great. I read the reviews before calling and I didn't have any of the bad experiences mentioned in some reviews. Joni was flexible and communicative any time I needed to pay rent, had a rules question, needed to extend my stay. I would and will stay here again if back in the area with my...
Read moreThe attitude of Joni the manager is confrontational and, hateful! She makes communicating virtually impossible! She changes anything you say into something bad that seems to give her an excuse to be mean and disagreeable! In my experience with her, she had me checking every month for an availability space and reprimanded me for doing so! In the last confrontation, she screamed at me for trying to turn in an application! She’s very disrespectful and I’m almost sure is Manic Depressive off her medication! There are four spaces vacant but, she claims they aren’t available?? I think the owner of the park cannot be aware of Joni’s behavior as she isn’t doing her job managing the property. She is taking advantage of her position and creating a very bad image for the park! This was a...
