First-time visit to the specific Bakery on Santa Clara Street. Parking can be a hassle, but additional parking is located in the back of the bakery but with only one exit on to Santa Clara Street. a bit pricey compared to other bakeries especially the bakery on Keyes and 7th Avenue. large selection of treats as well as pies, cakes, jellos& special orders as well. Each bread varies in price Parece que no hacen puerquitos o no habĂa pero habĂa algo similar de pan. Precios varĂan dependiendo la pieza de pan. TomĂ© varias fotos Espero que les guste. Mariela was kind& attentive but one mistake u made young lady. You ask if I wanted a bag or a box for thd goods, but you neglected....🙄by not disclosing that there is a cost/ you should let customers know the cost of whatever u r providing our goods to take in. Nothing has a$/sneaky i eld. Say... sych would b appreciated by many customers! FYI: I rmoved fm. out of state .... I appreciate the large of Mexican bread in all sizes,...

I believe I've had a torta from this business before but in a different location. When I had it back then, I really enjoyed the torta milanesa. It was a big torta and had queso mexicano, avacado, a good portion of the milanesa meat among some other ingredients. That was like a 4 star torta. Very good. This time at the Mexico Bakery next to the 101 exit over the bridge, it was not as great. The meat was a little burnt and the flavors were not as savory. I did enjoy the food but it was closer to a 3-3.5 star quality.

However my overall experience has been good at this business and I've had good tortas here. I ate my torta with a Mexican coke and that was delicious. I hope to return and try other menu items that may change my impression of the food quality. I ended up paying around 25 dollars just for my meal and drink so it was a little expensive. It's sort of standard pricing for a meal in the Bay area though. If you visit, I hope you have a great...

This is my "happy place"! I love their pastries, donuts and breads. Their tres leche cake is to die for! I ordered a sheet cake for my Mom's 80th birthday and had A LOT left over, so I probably should've gotten a smaller one, but their prices were better than most other places I checked and they did a beautiful job. Not to mention, it was ready when it was supposed to be! Very important.

Their custard filled pastries are great, however, whoever is now filling them has gotten really skimpy on the custard 😱! And I haven't seen jelly filled donuts the last couple times I've gone in there, including today.

I've heard their Tortas are pretty awesome but I have yet to order any. However, if you go early, around 6 a.m.'ish, there are a lot of guys ordering them for work, so that's kind of "rush hour'ish" for them, and the wait might be kind of long.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the treats at my "happy place" as...

I only come to this place for tortas! Some of the best in San Jose. As for the pastries, it can be a hit or miss depending on what you get and how long is been seating on the counter. When you enter the space, you notice they have a variety of authentic Mexican bread, desserts and breakfast items. It can be overwhelming if you are not Mexican and you are not sure what to get. My recommendation is to go with the classic conchas, donuts, polvorones and gelatinas. If you are in it for something savory then you must try the tortas or tamales, with some atole or fresh juice to go with it. The only reason I am doing 4 stars instead of 5 is because in my opinion, they have too much stuff in the menu to ensure everything is fresh. Because of this you really have to know what to get and ask when they made it. If you get a cake, make sure to order a custom cake rather than pick up because of freshness.
