Pho Y #1 Noodle House — Restaurant in San Jose

The food didn't have a lasting impact but I will always remember this restaurant because of one event. This one event urge all of you who decide to eat here to BE CAREFUL! IF POSSIBLE FIND ANOTHER RESTURANT TO EAT! THERE ARE PLENTY OF PHO RESTURANTS. A BOWL OH PHO IS NOT WORTH THE SAFETY OF YOUR BELONGINGS AND FAMILY!

This happened in BROAD DAYLIGHT... My mom read good reviews and decided to eat here. We went in, have our dinner and we didn't stay long because we have to hit the road to meet up with my other family members. We only stayed there 20 minutes before exiting and found our rental car windows smashed and three of our luggage bags stolen along with two back packs! We lost our clothes, electronics... Even my underwear! We called the police and our insurance immediately! We even asked a homeless women and an old lady selling baked goods that were at the entrance THE WHOLE TIME! Isn't weird that two citizens that were stationed in front of the restuarant saw NOTHING!? We even parked close to the restaurant! I HONESTLY FEEL LIKE THEY SCOUTED US AND INFORMED THE THIEVES THAT IT WAS SAFE TO TAKE OUR THINGS! There is definitely a conspiracy going on here because the moment the homeless lady disappeared another homeless man took her place and I unfortunately have them both asked me "hello can you help me?" NO I'VE BEEN ROBBED! We talked to the staff members and they said that this happened A LOT DUE TO BUDGET CUTS. THESE ARE NO CAMERAS IN THE PACKING LOT!

These colder winter nights always make me crave Pho. Last couple of places I’ve ordered from haven’t been great so I was very surprised with this place.

I ordered chicken pho from Pho Y for delivery, and it was ridiculously good! The portions were big, with plenty of chicken compared to the noodles and broth. It’s hard to find pho with such a good balance, but they got it just right.

Even though it was a delivery order, everything tasted super fresh and delicious. The broth was rich, the noodles were perfect, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. I was really impressed with how much food came and how well it was all packaged.

No longer our favorite pho place. We’ve been here the last 10 yrs but will find ourselves a new pho place. The broth is salty and no doubt with MSG added as we both were so thirsty afterwards. We understand with inflation comes higher costs of food in this restaurant but quality must come accordingly to the price. $34 for a large and a small bowl of pho with not a lot of meat. We ordered 2 side extras to add more meat. The total is $40 including taxes, tips not included.

Dish dash diner for two costs less than that with more protein, beef or chicken, and even having some leftovers.
