Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in San Jose

1/19/2020 at about 11:45 am a large group of coworkers went for lunch. When the young lady at the counter gave me my plates (4) 2 salad and 2 pizza plates I noticed they were quite greasy. I kindly asked for new plates and she said "these were just washed." I acknowledged her response but showed her the streak on the plate and turned them over to show her the extra amount on the backs of them. She continued to reiterate they were just washed, dug through the stacks of plates and handed me 4 more. As i looked at the haze on the plate, I turned them over and low and behold...extra grease on the backs. So I showed her. She became quite irritated and said again they were just washed, I don't know what to tell you, they are clean! Seeing her irritation that I was not going to eat food from grease ridden plates, I then asked for 4 paper plates. She sharply handed them to me and off I went with my co-worker to eat against my better judgement. We were a party of 10...Listen.....Round Table...I tipped the jar to boot because I am appreciative of the industry, but I will not eat at your establishment again period. I live in the neighborhood and work close by as well. I hope wise words to this young lady about defending obvious malfunctions of your dishwasher or hand washer what ever is duly noted and to do some quality control over the vessels in which your...

Update - Happily changing to five stars. Shortly after I wrote my review someone from Round Table called me and requested to make it right. They delivered two new pizzas which tasted great! I really do appreciate the customer service offered.

The prices have risen quite a bit over the last few years so I only come here once in a while for a special treat. Unfortunately I most likely will not visit this location again.

I ordered a small cheese, a medium specialty, and 6 wings, which totalled $56. A bit outrageous. Somehow the small cheese and medium specialty were the exact same size? See photo. The medium pizza was totally burnt and both pizzas had something wrong with the crust. It was so thin on both and hard as a rock. I did NOT order thin crust so I'm not sure why the crust on both were so thin and difficult to chew. It's almost like the dough didn't get a chance to rise. The wings were fine but I am totally disappointed on both pizzas, especially for the price.

My family has been ordering from this location since 1996, and until today, we’ve always loved their pizza. But our recent experience was really disappointing.

We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, and it was extremely salty. This is the first time in over 27 years that we’ve had this issue. We were really surprised and disappointed.

I called RT and spoke with a guy named George. He answered the phone with “yeah, go ahead,” which was rude. He said," no one else had complained about the saltiness," but he did refund my money, which I appreciated. I also offered to return the pizza, but he declined.

Given our long history of good experiences with this place, we hope this was just a one-time thing. We look forward to enjoying their delicious pizzas again...
