First time ever being there had high hopes because of reviews and stars when I walked in it was a little quiet around 2:00 p.m. on a weekday work very clean on the inside the back kitchen look clean I ordered three different tacos one with asada one with pastor and one with carnitas and I got a michelada so the cashier I thought she made the drinks but she does it I thought I'd get my drink first but I got it after my food because after the cook is done he has to go make drinks which I think is a little unfair because the cashier's just standing there doing absolutely nothing and she had a cast on her leg why are you at work you should be at home resting last year really didn't have a lot of enthusiasm in her she looked very tired and really didn't want to be there I'm the cook in the kitchen was not wearing gloves not a deal breaker to me but maybe to others when I got my food the asada didn't look fresh it looked like it had been sitting there for a few days and when I tasted it I was exactly right it had the oxidized flavor on it which is not pleasant the meat looked very dry and cold every Taco the meat was barely warm so I know they did not make it fresh today the carnitas was very smushy and crispy at the same time I'm assuming old too cuz there's no reason for the meat to be mushy and the bus still had absolutely no flavor very dry and rubbery I grabbed their green sauce which had guacamole inside it was decent they gave me grilled onions with absolutely no flavor and they were very cold I had a grilled jalapeno which was really good overall I didn't like the food very flavorless very bland very Americanized this is my third attempt trying to find a very good Mexican restaurant or taqueria and three strikes them out I definitely don't recommend this place if you're looking for authentic flavors it's too American nice for me but as I sat there and ate there was plenty of customers coming through so to some it was good but to my culinary taste it just...
Read moreI visited Senor Taco Taqueria and ordered the chile verde burrito. I asked for the Chile Verde wet burrito, because they do not offer the Chile Colorado wet burrito. Senor Taco Taqueria said they do not offer the wet burrito, because it’s called the Mojado burrito. So, I asked for the Chile Verde Mojado burrito expecting green sauce on top the burrito with cheese. Instead, they gave me the chile verde burrito with a special sauce that was brown and not the green sauce. It was interesting and different. Almost like getting great ice cream with ketchup on top. I was so hungry, I ate the burrito and pushed the sauce aside.
I told the waitress that the sauce on top was not the chile verde sauce, and she responded that you have to order the chile verde sauce on top of the chile verde burrito. Therefore, I give them five star because that makes me laugh!!!!
You will love Senor Taco Taqueria if you have a sense of humor, aforementioned like getting ketchup on ice cream. Both taste good, however together different. No refund offered for the mistake, because it was my mistake that a chile verde burrito does not come with Chile verde...
Read moreI used to live around the corner for about a decade and would go here once or twice a week. Food was BOMB! Don't know if owners changed or cooks changed or what. Now the meat is almost always dry and what was once my most favorite dish ever I hate, the tostada bowl. No beans that's all I ask. Not extra beans, not double beans. Not beans on the bottom, then beans on top. No beans. It wasn't a challenge to add as many uncooked beans as possibe. It might be able to be overlooked if the anemic amount of cheese and rice could do anything to soften up or flavor them from being severely undercooked. Mixed with dry, tasteless meat its hard to choke down. Couldn't even try to mask the taste by using the tostada shell because it seemed older and less agreeable than my teenager. I really used to love this place... sad to see this once amazing hidden gem end...
