I've never been the biggest fan of Subway but like most people faced with the mediocre lunch options of a suburban shopping center, I've been to my fair share.
My friend and I were in the middle of a road trip and had come to the beginning of the Ortega highway. Knowing that this would be the last food stop for miles, we let out a familiar sigh - a sigh that I have come to know as the Subway sigh. A sigh that comes when you know there are a million other places you'd rather eat but this is what you've got.
I went with my go to order, the Italian BMT. It was generously loaded with meat, toasted to perfection, and abundantly populated with fresh veg. The spreads were proportionate, the wrap up was perfect, and the cookie was warm. Everything about this eating experience was amazing. I can confidently say this is the best Subway I've ever been to.
Not to mention the woman behind the counter, who I assume to be the owner, was INCREDIBLY sweet. I was transported back to a time when my mom would make me sandwiches when I came inside after a long day of play.
In closing...yes, this is still a Subway, but it's a special one. Leave your Subway sigh at the door, you're in for a...
Read moreI'm temporarily disabled and on crutches. Went to this location, the kid (no more than 18) that was working was incredibly slow. The customer ahead of me ordered about 10 sandwiches, and he was insanely slow making all of those sandwiches, while I'm waiting and can't stand for very long. I ended up being there for over 15 mins waiting to make 1 sandwich. I sat down, but he could have used some judgement and either worked quickly, or asked her to let me make my 1 sandwich. Obviously he didn't care or have regard for the customer's in line and it seemed like he was purposefully working at a snail pace. I should have left or just gone to the one by Marshalls. Never going to this...
Read moreDo yourself a favor and DO NOT come here. First, the place was filthy, looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a month. Second, the older lady behind the counter, didn't get her name unfortunately, was extremely rude and unprofessional. Like I was bothering her by being a customer. I kid you not, she was intentionally moving at a snail's pace, as if it was out of passive aggression for hating her job. My convalescent grandmother moves faster than that. I went against my better judgement by eating the stale sandwich, I should have just walked out. Save yourself the trouble and go to the other subway in the shopping center right on the other side of the freeway. The quality...
