The first sign I saw while pulling into the parking lot was "----- and -----" has made great coffee". Really? I didn't know I was going to a coffee bar for Sunday morning service. I parked in a huge guest parking area right across from a paved area where a concierge hut is unavoidable. Okay. Then I had to walk past no less than five greeters before I even got to the doors of the sanctuary. There were several more at the front door. I have tinnitus and the pulsating music was too much sensory overload. I turned around and left, having to run the same gauntlet back to the very public, very open space. Someone from the concierge hut called out very loudly, very conspicuously, "Is..is everything alright, DO YOU NEED HELP? If I needed assistance, I would have gone over to the concierge. I couldn't get out of this seeker friendly hot mess...
Read moreI came to South Coast about 2 years ago. I. Believed in God but I didn't believe in the Church. Not the whole building thing that most people beleive what the Church is. I didn't beleive in the body of Christ, the whole purpose for us gathering together to worship. I tried other Churches but couldn't find God there. When I got to South Coast i immediately felt at home. I felt the peace of God there and started to beleive again. I was welcomed with open arms by the members of the Church with love and kindness. The if you want biblical teachings authentic worship and fellowship with Jesus minded Christians, Come visit, but come with a humble heart and allow God to do the rest.
