Found it on Google maps. This review is for the Burger Town Roosevelt, in Hato Rey. If you're looking for a burger joint that is indoor-sy and foodtruck-ish with a varied menu (including vegetarian options), try this one. I had no wait time, with plenty of available tables on a Thursday around 1:00pm. The place has kinda "street art" theme and is well ventilated with giant electric fans. The cooking action seems to happen in the food truck component and waiters take and serve orders. There's parking on the back. There's bathrooms and one has a baby changing wall unit. Wheelchair or stroller ramp access takes you to the bathroom and a makeshift ramp (not sure if wide enough for a wheelchair) takes you to the dining area closest to the food truck, but no further, since there's steps to other sections of the deck.
Ok. The food. We ordered fish tacos special and grilled chicken breast with arroz mampostea'o. The chicken and rice plate was beautifully presented and large portion! It came with a generous salad that was the opposite of plain and boring. The fish tacos (pictured) came with a side of chips drizzled with yellow cheese sauce (more on that later). The layers of goodies in each of the pair of tacos included a nice serving of spicy crab topped by slices of fresh avocado. A little messy to eat, but that didn't bother me. We only ate half of our dishes and took the rest to go. These plates can be easily shared by two people. Four stars for (1) the Velveeta-style cheese on chips. It was the only disappointing aspect because I am not a fan of nachos with that liquid cheese and (2) poor music selection (dancefloor technopop or something like that). Would I go again? Definitely. Do I...
Read moreAVERAGE The place is nice and the waiters are very good. But I honestly expected better burgers from a place called "Burger Town". Don't get me wrong, the patties were very tasty. However, the burgers could be improved. The buns were too small, so it was impossible to eat them as burgers. The waiters did not ask how we wanted the burgers. Hamburgers should be made of beef and cooked to the doneness you prefer, especially since some people might have a preference because of health reasons or various dietary restrictions. In addition, their regular tacos were super dry. We had to ask the waiters for some extra spicy mayo. And the nacho chips with cheese that came with the tacos were soggy. In short, I wouldn't recommend their regular tacos as a meal. Finally, they could really improve...
Read moreCame here with a family with 2 children to eat at 5pm on a Sunday. Ordered 3 appetizers and they only brought out 2, after we ate they said 90 minutes to order food. That should have been the first thing we were told. My 4 year old was in tears because she was hungry and not even an apology. So we asked for the bill. They charged us for the 3 appetizers and when we asked them to fix it we got a new bill that was MORE money charging us for MORE food. My wife is from Toa Alta and this is our first trip here with our children and could not have had a worse experience. Her family has told me about the location in Levittown and how good it was but based on my experience it’s not a surprise that they closed. Do...
