Don Cocó Coffee Shop — Restaurant in San Juan

We were in PR for a week and traveled through the island quite a bit, out of all the mochas we tried; here was the best one. The coffee with milk and the caramel machiattos we great as well, even the orange juice my son drank (it had pulp, love it). For breakfast, we tried the breakfast burrito (eggs veggies, cheese and hashbrowns), the wrap, bacon and chicken quesadillas (that my son devoured) the Cuban sandwich, and the Puertorican classic the Tripleta. If you're looking for an amazing breakfast, Don Coco's is where you go. This was seriously the best Monte Cristo I've ever had. The combo of different meat was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. My husband's massive burrito was still hot to the very last bite and he said it was hearty & satisfying, too. The coffee was excellent and I regret not getting a second cup to take with me. The service was great, too! We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast...

I went into the store and this nice lady explained to us her menu and guided us through some of her recommendations. We got the El Barrio sándwich. Unfortunately, we had devoured it before we could even take a picture! What I can include is the generosity that she had showed us and the good food that they have served us. There’s something about Puerto Rican hospitality that I don’t see anywhere else. These small gestures really make an impact...
