Tierra Adentro Coffee Shop — Restaurant in San Juan

I had a very frustrating experience at Tierra Adentro Coffee Shop and would strongly advise against visiting if you need a quiet place to get some work done. I was told that I could only stay for two hours because they "don't produce enough" to have people using their electricity for longer just for going a couple of days, that I was using their only parking for too much time while I was consuming. When I asked about staying a bit longer, I was told that other customers were complaining about me being there — which is strange because I never saw anyone stay more than 30 minutes.

I was respectful of the space, didn't mind the loud chatter, and never complained about the music, which was blaring way too loudly for a coffee shop atmosphere. It felt more like a fast food chain than a place to relax and focus. Honestly, this place doesn't care about providing a good environment for working or studying. If you need a quiet spot to get things done, do yourself a favor and skip this place. It’s not worth it.

Wow this is incredible, please if you have a business be grateful for just a penny that someone spent in your business, because they are believing in you and helping your business!!

Sad Experience - A Place I Used to Enjoy I used to love this coffee shop and would spend several hours there working and enjoying the environment. However, recently, things have taken a turn for the worse. They now seem to want to limit how much time you can spend in the shop unless you’re consistently spending money. They claimed that I was there for 4 hours several days a week, which is simply not true. It seems like the amount of time you spend is now tied to how much you’re willing to spend, which is very disappointing.

I also had an uncomfortable experience when they asked me to use headphones during a FaceTime call with a friend. I didn’t have headphones on me, so I ended the call right away. I didn’t complain about it because I understood the request. But later, I was told that I couldn’t even have my computer out for a few hours to work, as though I was creating an office there. The only thing I did was briefly plug in my monitors to see if they worked with my laptop, but I quickly disconnected everything when I realized it wasn’t allowed.

I’ve worked in coffee shops for over five years and have never had this kind of experience before. I was never disrespectful and always tried to be considerate. It’s a shame to see how things have changed here. If you don’t want people to stay for long...

Customer service is exceptional. Food is amazing and there’s lots of variety. Right now it’s very local so only one person does the drinks but that ensures a very high quality control for the drinks, which always taste amazing i might add. It’s very affordable which is surprising for the quality food you’re getting. The atmosphere is very good too, but not very spacious, so if this hidden gem is discovered by too many people it might be a problem to eat inside, if it’s too full. I personally haven’t struggled with that yet but it’s only a matter of time before people actually find out how good this coffee shop is. But apart from that I literally have no complaints, 10/10 would keep coming again every time I want to eat breakfast...

This is a friendly atmosphere to enter. Beautiful, clean and modern design inside. Every employee has been so sweet, accommodating and generous. The latte was close-your-eyes and enjoy delicious. I got the avena as well which was perfect. The quesito came warm and was flaky and yummy. A clean bathroom in any establishment is important to me- and yes, their bathroom is spotless. There are 4 parking spots available. There is ample seating inside. We’ll definitely be back to try their made to order...
