I wish I had more time to share why I'm giving this establishment 1-star but here goes. My husband picked up a bagel for me and witnessed an elderly gentleman ahead of him request for an open faced bagel. The male owner responded in an extremely rude manner and told him they don't do that. This man had to be in his 80's and was very polite and the owners response was outrageous due to his tone and high level of agitation. He told the customer that they didn't have plates and they simply couldn't do it. He was so rude, he turned this nice man's attitude around and he left without his bagel. The the owner did tell the man to referred to a young lady who may have been his daughter before he left. She proceeded to say the same thing. She may have been afraid to say anything else. I've seen this man be rude before but really, an elder who is helping to sustain your business! Yes, their bagels are good but not good enough to patronize an establishment that doesn't understand how to treat the very people that keep them in business. Until I know that this owner is seeking help for anger management, I will travel as far away as I need to get a bagel but not from them! This type of behavior is not to be rewarded! If I had been there, oh Boy! I don't take kindly to...
Read moreI've always had mediocre service here but today was a new level when I was asked to put my dog outside on the wet back patio in the cold and rain to place a togo order. I have paperwork for my service animal however she doesn't wear a tag since it's not required nor is anyone allowed to ask me to produce papers. We happily took our money to Starbucks where no one even acknowledged the fact I had an animal with me and we were able to sit and enjoy our warm coffee in a warm dry place in comfort and with the plus of free wifi.
Their bagels are like glorified bread not even closely resembling a New York bagel besides the round shape and even the shape is a little flat and dont even get me started on their espresso drinks, unpalatable...
I prefer to shop local vs conglomerates like Starbucks but I'm always welcome there and never felt wanted at main st they don't even say hello when...
Read moreThis is a really great morning bagel shop with delicious smelling croissants and cookies and pastries filling their glass case every day. A very no-fuss, one stop, grab-your-bagel and go kind of an experience. The food is great and every time I visit, I notice that it seems as if the staff here lives and sleeps bagels and making specialty sandwiches (the menu board is filled with delicious kinds of things!)... I wonder if they ever go on vacation? And then I also wonder where they go, and if they think about their special little bagel shop when they’re away?
Because I know a lot of people love this place like I do. I always leave Main Street Bagels with a handful of treats - I think you will...
