Alejandros Taco Shop — Restaurant in San Marcos

Doesn't look like much when you go there other than subway and little Ceasar pizza next to Alejandro's taco shop. No greeting as I walked through the door. Rude and inconsiderate employee that took my order. No customer service. They charge for items/toppings even if you don't want it in your burrito. They do not substitute NOTHING even if you don't want sour cream on a veggie...?! Sour cream is veggies? Outlandish customer service even after I ordered. Instead of polite and welcoming it was rude and inconsiderate to its own customer. Seriously think about customer service. Wouldn't answer my questions yet when I was asked I answered?!

So as I bite into my veggie burrito there's guacamole and I was told there's no guacamole?!

I call and they then say we'll it's been 15 min since you left. I told them no it was 5 minutes. So they then ask if I want a new burrito or refund. I want neither. STAY AWAY FROM THIS TACO SHOP! Rude customer service They don't even listen to the customer! Horrible food and...

I’ve been a loyal customer of Alejandro’s for years, and it’s heartbreaking to see what’s happened since the new ownership took over. The food is still good, but the soul of the place—the salsa—is completely gone.

The new salsa is bland, watery, and lacks the bold, smoky kick that made the original so memorable. It used to be the perfect complement to everything on the menu, and honestly, it was one of the main reasons I kept coming back. Now it feels like an afterthought.

To the new owners: please listen to your longtime customers and bring back the original salsa recipe. You’ve got a great foundation with this place, but the new changes are not for the better. Alejandro’s used to be special. Right now, it just feels like another...

They made my order wrong and they refused to make it the way I asked. The cashier made me pay again for my order. It was a complete waste of my money. That cashier even had a very horrible attitude when I asked to have my order fixed the way I had originally requested it and to not be charged again. The food was very expensive and was probably the most I have ever paid for a fast food Mexican food restaurant. I will definitely not be coming back here again. I plan to definitely dispute this with my credit card company too since I did not get what I paid for. Felt like I got scammed at a restaurant. I actually had to go to a different fast food restaurant to get food to feed my entire crew of workers...
