I’ve been going to this place for years and today has sadden me to see it hasn’t been up to what it has been in the past years. As we got our ice creams nothing was cleaned in between on when they made the ice cream. The toppings area was overly crowded with many things on the stone as this is unsanitary especially with people with allergies. Sad to say that when my daughter was eating her ice cream she had came across a cockroach in her ice cream and we had to throw them away. I have no explanation for this but for cold stone creamery being of good quality unfortunately the sanitation isn’t. I hope there is a turn around in this place and upon seeing the comments I hope the do see this and make changes
Updated on 09/08/24 Instead of taking accountability the owner decides to report my comment. Upon instead of looking into the matter or reaching out more business like the owner goes on defense I understand it's a business but take accountability instead of offense to the honest truth. But not amazed that this is the same reaction from the owner to any other non good review. And due to validation of me being in there I paid $36 dollars in cash no receipt which I should of said yes when he asked me but I know I had to pay $35 with change for 2 waffle bowls that the guy making the ice cream even remarked to my daughters oh that is very colorful ice cream due to the topics and sprinkle on the chocolate covered waffle bowl, the other was another chocolate covered waffle bowl with vanilla ice cream and toppings and I had ordered a I love it founder's favorite without walnuts which this happened before 2:45 pm on Wednesday...
Read moreOur family’s go-to ice cream shop for years. I do not let my kids get ice cream from any other shop unless we are out of town. My experience with this place has been amazing. And almost all of our special days, we get our cake from this incredible place.
First of all, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they’ll always help you in any way they can. They are very kind and value all their customers.
As a health-concerned parent, my number one priority is always cleanness and this shop passes the test with flying colors. This is the way all food stores and shops are supposed to be like, alas, in LA it is very hard to find this type of quality.
The cakes are absolutely a-mazing. Most custom cakes are either shapeless or tastes awful, but somehow this cold stone got the ideal technique and the recipe. One time we got a custom cake order for a baby shower for my sister, and after seeing that my son decided he wants his birthday cake “like that but with Batman on it” so since then we have only bought custom cakes from here. The non custom cakes are also life saviours for anniversaries or anything like that though.
And finally but most importantly, the ice cream tastes great. You wont forget that taste for years. Seriously addictive!
So in short, this is the ideal place for anyone looking to get a cone of icecream or some...
Read moreWent in there today for the first time in a long time. I always knew the ice cream never melted like real ice cream, so I thought I would check them out again for a milk shake on a hot day. Went inside and the kids working there showed me a small plastic cup and then maybe a 12 oz. cup. These were the 2 milkshake sizes. The bigger of the two which is about the size of a standard In N Out shake is a whopping $8.99 including a single mix in. More mix ins cost even more. This is their chocolate ice cream ingredients from their own website: Milkfat and Nonfat Milk, Sugar, Whey, Cocoa processed with Alkali, Mono and Diglycerides, Guar Gum, Polysorbate 80, Cellulose Gum, Carrageenan. I asked if that price was in US dollars it was so unbelievable. Way over priced for a cold chemical product. I walked out and left the place empty. My advice: hit up a place like Handel's or Freddy's, get some chocolate or vanilla, break a Mr. Goodbar into it which is 2 mix ins (chocolate pieces and peanuts) and be happy you avoided the Coldstone...
