Compadres Grilled Chicken — Restaurant in San Marcos

This place really sucks! I've been coming here for years, I started back when they 1st opened and it was really good. And stopped coming here for the last 5 years because of the pandemic. They just got so bad with their serving sizes and the quality of the cook and seasoning...forget about the price increases. But this year I've actually come a few times because I work right down the street and man it just keeps getting worse in here! The meat is super dry! The servings are very small! And they stopped seasoning the meat!? I got the four piece chicken-only meal today and it was $13 and this is what I got, overcooked dry meat and, I don't even know where they find these pieces of chicken, but they are the smallest you can serve...seriously! First time trying this place as I am on a low carb high protein mission for 30 days. I decided to give it a try; walked right in and placed my order. Reading the reviews afterwards they were saying the wait times are long. I must have hit the lotto as I was in and out less than 5 minutes. I asked the gentlemen does your chicken come with sauce on it and he responded just marinated. I ordered an eight piece chicken only came up to $15. I thought a tad bit pricey but no pricer than Epl. Opened box when I got home and got a thigh and wing along with a grilled jalapeno and onions and part of the salad. All in all the chicken was good it had that bbq grilled taste just a tad on the bland side but nothing my garlic and herb seasoning from kingsford didnt rectify. Will go back again. The only downfall is that they dont have any information on the nutritional value of their food items...

Never had a bad experience until today. I went to go buy chicken like I usually do on a Sunday afternoon, I was waiting in line to be attended by the cashier, just for her to tell there was no more chicken. I got there 25 minutes before they closed apart from that I still in waited in line for 10 minutes just for her to tell me that they couldn't sell me anything. She didn't even checked or asked if they anything left or if they could at least cook it for me, also how is it possible after 5 people got attended before me and just when it was my turn she said in a rudly way they didn't have any chicken left and that they where closed already.
