Iâve been here a couple times but Saturday was the last time. We were the last customers to walk in, we werenât greeted by anyone. Just heard a voice say, take a seat anywhere. I had ordered the Cali Burger but I didnât want two patties, I proceeded by asking the server who didnât have a name tag, if I could replace one patty for some guacamole, she said sure. Food came, I hadnât even taken a bite out of my food when she came to deliver the check and gave me a gesture of âcan you pay nowâ but I ignored her and began eating. Few minutes pass by and she comes again asking me if I can pay because she has to leave. Upon inspecting the receipt, I see that I was charged $1 for about a teaspoon of guacamole which threw me off. I then asked the server why did she charge me for the guacamole when I specifically asked her if she could replace one patty for it and she said yes. The fact that she didnât clarify that there was a charge for adding guacamole even if you replace a patty is unprofessional. I then said well next time if youâre going to charge me at least tell me in advance, she didnât seem to like what I said and just left. The manager, or at least thatâs what he called himself but he looked like a busboy with his wrinkled polo on, then came to collect the payment. While that was happening, the server and another employee began staring at me, giving me the stink eye. I tried to confront them if they had an issue with me being there but then the âmanagerâ came and attempted to kick me out of the restaurant. I honestly saw this like an elementary kid crying to the principal because she fails to accomplish her job right. Very bad experience, food was 6/10 and...
Read moreFirst let me preface this review by saying that I am a long time fan of the Hooters chain of restaurants but on this particular visit was less than impressed.
I understand that Covid-19 plays a big part in how the night went however there are things that could have definitely be done differently before opening back up to the public.
When I first arrived at the restaurant I had to wait over 5 minutes for a hostess to even come to the front to seat me. Ok this is understandable since they were under staffed (covid-19 ramifications).
After being seated it takes another 10 minutes for a waitress (same person that seated me) to return and take a drink order. This is where the review takes a turn for the worse. My drink is brought over by a male staff member so I am still waiting to place a food order.
The beer is so flat that it is almost indistinguishable from what it should taste like. I think to myself ok maybe it is just a bad keg so I order a different one. Different beer but same flat taste.
Unfortunately this whole Covid-19 shutdown effected all businesses but any bar owner should know that beer exposed to CO2 for two months just sitting in the keg is going to produce an undesirable taste.
I wish the bar manager would have sampled all the lines prior to opening back up and either dumped the flat beer or had the distributor pick it up instead of trying to pass it off to your customers for a quick buck.
On a side note the food was of the same quality that I remember but unfortunately I will not be returning until the beer kegs are replaced...
Read moreAbsolutely abysmal service. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet, and there seemed to be enough waitresses to ensure all parties had phenomenal service.
But that's not really how it went down. Waitress after waitress would make eye-contact with my companion and/or me, but take absolutely no action. After 20 (?) minutes someone finally graced us with their time. Again, the place was so sparsely littered with customers, for a moment I thought maybe closing time had passed. It was NOT busy.
The breaded chicken was soggy. As if it was covered with water at some point prior to serving. I would not be able to use the word "crispy" to describe this chicken, which I'm pretty sure is a warning sign.
The "alcoholic" beverage I ordered had no alcohol in it. I know this because my companion is extremely intolerant of alcohol and she tasted it without so much as smacking her lips in disgust. Complete scam.
Plus, is it just me, or has the quality of Hooters chicken really gone downhill? I don't just mean this establishment, I mean at all Hooters I've visited in the last 15 years or so ... I really hate to see restaurants flagrantly avoid opportunities for improvement because they'd rather blindly coast on the momentum of past glories and rake...
