Starbucks — Restaurant in San Marcos

Ok, so my car Broke down by the Descanso Ave San Marcos location. But before I started the search for a cheap tow service, I walked over to Starbucks to get a coffee. I was super hungry and upset about my car -I mentioned what happened to the cashier/ Barista- and do you know what he said? He said my coffee was on him! And then he bought me a sandwich too! He probably wasn't even aware of how this simple kindness that he'd shown me affected me... All I could say was, thank you so much- then he said- bad stuff is gonna happen, so you're gonna need some good stuff to happen as well.. (I may have reworded it a little bit, but it's pretty much what he said). I agreed but had to turn away a bit so he wouldn't see me cry🥹 he really changed my whole mood. I know this was long, but I had to tell ppl what an amazing soul this angel named CHRIS has that works at the Starbucks on Descando Ave, by the 78 highway in San Marcos. They are way too few humans that show they care for other humans these days- so it just fills my heart with hope, faith, and a lil bit of joy to receive such kindness and compassion. I go there like 3 times a week and everyone there is super friendly the beverages always taste great.

I used to go there three times a week but this particular location has the worst sliding scale schedule. You could walk up to the window and be actively ignored by employees who can't take a minutes out of their unbreakable task of stuffing straws into a dispenser to tell you that they've been closed for 15 minutes or closing early due to lack of customers. This is a multi-billion dollar company you think they invest in a $5 sign that posts visibly the hours of operation or just a closed/open sign.

Bryan the lead supervisor treated me and gave me my order of Venti Chai Latte and Danish for free. All because it was taking me forever to dig up my wallet from my purse to use one of my credit cards because my phones apple pay function wasn’t working like it had just done at the Marshalls I’d shopped at. So I was frustrated and discombobulated, bc I was afraid I was going to hold up the line.
