Such a fun find in downtown San Mateo! I stumbled into this multi-concept space by Ty Mahler, co-founder of Sushirrito, and was immediately drawn to the vintage little coffee truck serving espresso inside. The espresso was excellent, smooth and balanced. I also tried the sushi burrito, which was fresh, flavorful, and really well put together. We went on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. Lots of space with trendy warehouse-y vibes. Made me want to camp out there and work for the afternoon if only they were open longer.

The food was incredible. We spent about $20 per person on four dishes plus drinks! It felt pretty amazing to have pasta, sushi, and coffee in the same meal. The pasta was so delicious, perfectly al dente, nicely sauced, and portioned very well. I couldn’t believe it was $10. Already thinking of going back to try the rest...

We opted to cancel our reservation at Ohlso restaurant in favour of trying this venue. As it happens, this is their first evening of dinner service and we are their first customers.
