Upon seeing the reviews, I decided to try this bakery. The lady who helped me was friendly. I like how she handled the pastries carefully. I was happy to see the selection of sliced cakes.

I was most impressed by the cappuccino cake and the cannoli. Both had a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The strawberry cakes and those containing rum were also delicious. The mango cake was good, but I wasn't too crazy about the syrupy sauce the mangos were mixed in. For all the sliced cakes, two things they had in common were: (1) the cake part was kind of dry; (2) the frosting was sloppy.

The mushroom pastry was probably the most amusing piece. Unlike the name suggested, there was no mushroom in the pastry. The pastry had a chocolate cream filling, and was covered in sticky syrup. The cream filling was delicious, but the coating was too sweet.

If you are not into refined looking pastries, I highly recommend Dianda's. Good taste, and good prices ($5 per piece) considering the size of...

A Sweet Slice of Heaven!

I recently visited Dianda’s Bakery and fell in love with their Strawberry Slice Cake paired with a perfectly brewed coffee. The cake was an absolute delight—moist layers of vanilla sponge soaked in fresh strawberry syrup, layered with creamy, velvety frosting and real strawberry pieces. Every bite was a burst of fruity freshness balanced with just the right amount of sweetness.

The bakery itself is cozy and charming, with a handful of small tables inside—ideal for a quiet treat or a casual catch-up. Beyond the cake, their menu is a treasure trove of goodies! I spotted flaky, buttery croissants, decadent cannoli filled with ricotta, rich tiramisu, and an array of beautifully decorated cookies and pastries. They even offer custom cakes for special occasions!

Friendly staff, top-notch quality, and a warm atmosphere make Dianda’s a must-visit. Whether you’re craving a dessert indulgence or a coffee break, this place delivers. I’ll be back to try the...

Dropped in today and purchased an Italian rum cake to celebrate a family member's birthday. First the service was ok, efficient enough but not friendly. There were five employees there and as soon as I walked in and the finished serving the prior two customers, 3 employees disappeared into the back of the shop, leaving one cleaning the floor and one person behind the counter.

The cake was actually terrible - for $45 I expect a cake that is good, not terrible. What made this cake terrible? The bottom layer was burned on the bottom, it was very dry but they attempted to use rum to cover it, but it was ineffective as the top edges of the cake were crispy. The custard filling was split, meaning it is was overcooked before being used in the cake. The cake tasted of dishsoap, so while I'm glad they clean and wash the dishes, pans, and utensils, I'm unhappy to eat the evidence, as it added an extremely unpleasant taste. The dishsoap taste actually was stronger than...

I lived next to their other location in the mission for over a decade and would go in after grabbing a taco at la taqueria for their almond tart. It was always decent and a nice contrast after the greasy taco. Now on the peninsula, I've gone in to this location a couple times while waiting for pizza to be done and the almond tart is the same, but wow those cookies have to be the hardest, most stale, and oldest smelling ( like really old peanut butter?) cookies I've ever tried to eat. The little meringue and other similar cookies are literally unpalatable. Hard like a piece of pumice stone, and smelled like they were years old. I want to love you guys, but that's just unacceptable.
