I have just experienced the greatest humiliation I have ever suffered in this country. I will summarize what happened and hope something is done about it as I will not stop. I arrived at the Taco Bell store 1975 S El Camino Real around 6:20 PM with an order from Doordash, as I also work with deliveries, I showed the app to a super friendly girl and she informed me that the order would take around 10 minutes and I decided to wait, right there moment I decided to place an order for myself, I ordered a combo and as a customer I know that TacoBell orders don't take long to be made, the Doordash customer's order was an order of 22 items and mine 3 items, within about 8 minutes a girl with glasses and light highlights in her hair, she came with the order, she was at the register and serving customers, she informed me that the Doordash order was ready and I told her that I had placed an order for myself and that the girl was already placing it at the checkout, at that moment she started treating me rudely, being HOMOPHOBIC and RACIST towards me, she took the order and hid it, she told me to cancel the Doordash order, she certainly thought I wanted to steal the food, and then she said that would report to me because I didn't want to confirm the order, as I was placing my soda and saw that BOTH orders were ready, she created this whole situation unnecessarily, I called Doordash support in front of her, while she smiled mockingly of me with the other attendants, looking at me with disdain and speaking in Spanish, it turns out that I speak 3 languages and Spanish is one of them, she cursed me while I was talking to support, the attendant put me on hold and called this girl and minutes later she comes back saying that she wouldn't give me the order anyway SCREAMING IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS, the attendant tried to contact her again and she didn't answer, psychologically because she didn't want to, I told the attendant that the girl would no longer answer the call and then the only The solution was to cancel the order, which affected my numbers. Read more20 year customer of this location. Usually pretty good service. But today i 04/15/19 at 330pm I went in with my son to place an order. There was a old short woman at the register. My son placed his order and then I ordered a chicken quesadilla, paused and raised my hand and said to her "No sauce please" She immediately fired back at me "Don't point your finger at me!" I was shocked but told her. I was just emphasizing the fact that I did not want any sauce? Then she just gave me a surly look and said what else you want! I told her not to get so offended I meant no harm or disrespect. I do not know why she was so offended by a simple innocuous gesture but I certainly did not appreciate her attitude and making such a scene in front of the whole restaurant and staff. I spent many years early in my career working in restaurants and beginning in fast food so I know the environment. I was neither negative nor rude to her when ordering so this woman had no just cause for her verbal attack on me. If she finds what I did offensive she will have a tough time with more truly disrespectful customers. You need to maintain your calm and composure when working this type of customer service position, which obviously she cannot. She should not be the face of this restaurant and should be moved to the back as soon as possible. Tonight the two employees that were working at 1:30 am when I was there, and had been there since 3 p.m. this afternoon. They are complete rock stars. There were only two of them! The guy in the kitchen was being so patient with some other girl who is working she was brand new she didn't know how to do anything and he had to help her with the register. If I had to deal with what they had to deal with I would have walked out.. quit on the spot and never looked back. To boot the way the other patrons were treating them was awful. Rude as hell. There are so many drunk people in there andStoners and just people who are obviously under the influence of other things... It was so crowded and so busy they have no business having a shift of two people at a Taco Bell that gets this much traffic in the middle of the night. In addition to that they are accepting doordash orders and the poor doordash guy. He just thought that the employees were badass as well, but he was so frustrated cuz his order was so screwed up and his customer was really upset. She almost cancelled her order which was sizable.
