Logan, Scott, and Phil are hands down some of the most knowledgeable and passionate individuals I’ve come across when it comes to vintage BMWs. Their depth of expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to preserving these classic machines is truly remarkable. Whether it’s a routine service or a full-on restoration, they approach every project with care, precision, and pride. What sets them apart even further is their unwavering dedication—you’ll often find them working well into the evening or giving up their weekends (even major car events) just to make sure these vintage cars stay running strong. They treat every car as if it were their own, and every customer like part of their extended family.

Their shop isn’t just a place to get work done—it’s a place where genuine enthusiasm and heritage thrives. Over the years, I’ve watched them tackle challenging jobs, source rare parts, and bring countless classics back to life. Their work speaks volumes, and I’ve always been impressed by their willingness to help, educate, and support others in the community. They’ve even collaborated with other local businesses to offer extended services that have met or exceeded my expectations such as creating custom parts that are better than factory (aka e24 steering box reinforcement)!

I consider myself incredibly lucky to have them close by on this side of the Bay Area. Honestly, I don’t know what’s taken so long for me to post this review—but it’s long overdue and well deserved. Here’s some of my rides that they have serviced in the attached photos and to more...

The Studio helped me prepare for market and sell my elderly father's 1981 BWI 635csi. When my father asked me to help him sell his vintage BMW a few months ago, I had no idea of where to begin. Luckily, I was introduced to Philip and Scott of The Studio. I thought that they would inspect the car, and, perhaps fix a thing or two. I did not know at the time that they were experts in vintage BMWs! They inspected the car and presented me with a list of items that needed attention, and explained the pros and cons of each. I appreciated their candor and knowledge, and found their pricing reasonable. We agreed that a crack in the exhaust pipe should be fixed right away, and a faulty hazard light switch that was drawing on the battery. (they were able to locate an original BMW hazard light switch replacement!) Now that the car was mechanically sound, they arranged for it to be detailed, professionally photographed, and listed on a classic car auction site. Scott did the auction site write up, and fielded all of the prospective buyers questions. The car was sold in one week! They handled everything from start to finish. My involvement was minimal. They handled ALL the paperwork. It was a pleasure to work with them-they are the consummate professionals. My father is beyond thrilled, as am I. Thank you, thank you to Philip and Scott...

After sitting in the driveway for the past 4yrs, my 528e needed some attention to make it road worthy again. I brought it to The Studio to freshen up all the fluids and replace some cracked hoses + belts, and it was immediately clear that this shop is like none other.

Their communication is unparalleled - texting dozens of photos and updates in the week they had my car. That gave me the confidence to green light some additional projects, which included replacing my tired shift bushings/lever and fixing wiring I botched years ago when installing euro headlights.

Logan, Scott, and Phil are extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to recommission my e28. They care about the details, replacing fasteners that aren’t OEM and touching-up surface rust on bits under the car. It’s clear that they care about the cars in their shop and that they want to work WITH their clients on projects, suggesting things their wrench-curious customers can tackle themselves and providing a safety net when someone gets in over their head (or just doesn’t have the time/bandwidth to do the work). I am so thankful these guys are around and I look forward to working with them...
