Inside was too loud and hot. We got the chance to be seated outside. It wasn't the waitress' fault, but the pizza was terribly undercooked and the appetizer we got (cauliflower ) was dry, tasteless, and just blah. Barely seasoned and presented to us in a bowl. Yay??? It wasn't worth the cost. I literally went up to the lady at the front and asked if we were not served a sauce that went with it? And she said oh that's just how it comes. If your guests have to ask if you forgot a sauce...well, perhaps just consider that a menu suggestion.
We were told they were all out of neopolitan pizzas when we got there, then told they DID have 6, but then we felt rushed to order because they didn't guarantee us two, they just told us to "think about it," and they started going around to other tables and telling them as well...weird. After that, we ordered neopolitans and the waitress came back to tell us that they only had enough for one of our orders, so we were told we could change it gluten free crust. Didn't realize the huge upcharge for that...I feel if you're going to offer that as a substitute because your kitchen is out, you shouldn't charge extra for it, but okay.
Again, undercooked pizza was a big bummer. The waitress was running around like a chicken with her head cut off due to the kitchen fiascos. Didn't check in on us almost at all. Seems as if the kinks still haven't been worked out for this new pizza place. Hopefully they do, because there are other pizza places that are way more worth your...
Read moreDefinitely going back! Our first time trying Forge. My favorite food is pizza but there are limited options in our small town so I was excited to try Forge especially after reading their online menu of such creative and unique offerings and their quality ingredients. I ordered the Sticky Nikki for me because I love arugula on a pizza and combined with pear, gorganzola, and balsamic- YUM! Also, ordered the Neapolitan Meatball pizza- DELICIOUS. Finally, wanted to try a Detroit, thicker crust pizza so ordered the Olympus- that was my husband's favorite- with pistachio pesto and prosciutto it was really good. I saved some leftovers to take for my daughter to try and she (and my SIL) LOVED the pizza even 30 minutes later! They have decided to make Forge a weekly stop for her family with 3 kids 5 and under...and I'll be tagging along. I'll add pics on our next visit- I was so hungry and the food was so good I forgot to take photos. And the description of the S'mores Calzone sounds amazing! Can't wait to try it and the rest of the menus offerings. Salads looked...
Read moreI have come here around twice a month since they have opened. I had lunch with a friend yesterday and it was amazing. We shared the Hot rod Detroit style pizza and the gnocchi Alfredo and a Margherita pizza . My go to pizza is the Margherita pizza. Mike makes his own sourdough pizza dough and it unique. It has a perfect little zine and the sauce and cheese is perfect. I have had pizza all over the United States and Canada. I've had pizza in NY , NJ , Connecticut all the top places. I'm so happy to have a local pizza place that hits all these notes and more ! . Don't walk run down here and try this pizza. I promise it will not disappoint. They also have a great beer and wine and craft can drink selections also spritzer. I have not had anything on the menu yet that I didn't like and I'm sure If it wasn't perfect Mike the owner would make it so . He really cares about the food he puts out and his staff follows suit. I have no connection to this restaurant other than they...
