Brother's Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Sandwich Township

There were 5 of us in our party 2 adults 3 kids age 3,11,12. We read the very mixed reviews and thought they're local lets support them! First impression, restaurant was empty, owner seamed confused why we were there, my daughter says can we eat here he said oh yes. So we dined in. He brought menus right away. He had to stop taking our order to answer the phone, 3 workers in the restaurant not enough!! I do understand the others saying guy was rude no he's just blunt. Menu said pop was 3.55 but with refills never figured they wouldn't come back and ask for refills or even if everythings ok? a very small (like side salad small) julienne salad was 13.75 and consisted of 1 slice american cheese, lettuce and lunchmeat. My hot beef looked delicious the meat was delicious but I took one bite of my mashed potatoes and they were sour tasting maybe milk used was sour or something! Chicken roll was another disappointment dry and not much flavor. Ordered a breakfast meat lovers skillet for my carnivore granddaughter which he told us would be a wait I said for good food we will wait. Nope I was wrong the ham and sausage had a funny taste? Not sure if freezer burnt or what but just not a good flavor and she wouldnt touch it! One thing was we had picky child who decided he wanted scrambled eggs so we asked and he did scramble up 2 for him that was appreciated!! But they never came back to our table to even ask how stuff was but brought the check and to go containers. We were only table there so would have expected little more. Went there lastnight and was very disappointed with the food first started with potato skins and it was like they microwaved the food it had canned cheese and bacon bits that comes from Hormel but waitress stated it was freshly made bacon non of the food we ordered was Fresh very disgusting...Than came side salads had brown lettuce and watered down ranch dressing at this point was really hoping that the quality of the main dish was going to be better well surprise surprise it wasn't at all I ordered the steak and onions with green beans and mashed potatoes and it was literally a hamburger patty with frozen green beans and crusty dry looking potatoes my friends order was the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and it looked even worse than mine the waitress came and we told her we would like the check not touching any of our food she brought bill said she didn't charge for the main dishes our bill came to 21 dollars for the 5 dollar nasty potato skins 2 drinks and the 2 nasty side salads we will not be going back there and don't...

To Greg Allison: I was your waitress two days ago. I made a mistake, I was not trying to scam you. When I added the gyro sauce to (what I thought was) your ticket, there was another outstanding ticket in our computer system. See, not only did I think that ticket had been cashed out but it had very similar food to yours (except a little more to make it $7 more than your final total). I, stupidly, did not double check your total before delivering your ticket. Had I done that as I normally do, I would have known $30 was not right. It was an HONEST mistake and when you asked me about it, it did take me a second to realize what was going on with your ticket/total and I immediately fixed it and apologized. I am still sorry about the mistake I made. When you came up to ring out, had you not brought it up prior, I would have read the total of $30 to you, immediately realized it was too high, and refused to take your cash until I had triple-checked and confirmed your total.
