Came on a Tuesday afternoon in August and drove around a bit before we saw some people leaving to find a parking spot. We did see the shuttle come but not sure where it came from. Lot across the street for the beach is $20 dollars. Other than the parking the rest was all positive and will be going back again. Bought draft pours online ahead of time but the bartender girl was so nice and said since it wasn’t busy if you want more just come up to the bar and pay with credit card. When leaving I asked if I needed to order to go online and they said no the ladies in the merch store were able to fill my order in less than a minute I walked out with 8 beers to go like that! Loved sitting on the deck in the shade watching the waves and boats pass by. Of course the beer was great tried the Haze and the Green. Probably one of the best breweries in Massachusetts. Great beer, staff, and atmosphere!
Update: went again on a Friday afternoon and it was busier. No parking. As the shuttle pulled up we followed it to the marina parking lot. I also contacted Tree House via email and they stated “The town lot next to our Sandwich location is filling up fast and charging during the Summer months. There is also parking near the canal on Ed Moffett Dr (the marina lot).
We have a complimentary shuttle that runs every 10 minutes, this will meet you near the marina lot and drive you over to our location and bring you back.”
We rode on the free shuttle there and back with no issues. Even ordered to go and took it back on the shuttle. The shuttle has a good sized step to get in with no steps or ladder to help. Be aware if you have bad legs as it could be tricky to get in. Otherwise another great visit. They do check drink numbers on the weekend too! Limit is 3 per person. Saw people paying at the bar but we ordered our draft pours online. Overall, would go back and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
2nd Update 12/28/24: Decided to try this out again for a 3rd visit over the holidays during the winter. Parking in the town lot is now available for free next to the building. But we secured a spot right on the side of the brewery. Beers are just as good as the summertime and the place has a lively atmosphere which was decorated for Christmas time. All staff and crew are always super nice and helpful. Even offered a free tasting while there of some of their latest distillery items. The Old Fashioned was excellent. Another great visit with easier parking and great beer! Also on the weekends, no matter the time of year, they do wristbands with a limit of 3 drinks per customer. You do not need to pre purchase drinks and can pay as you go up at the bar. Have yet to try the pizza because it usually looks too over cooked for our liking but might have to so I can have a complete Tree House Cape Cod review.
3rd Update 2/23/25: Came on a Thursday afternoon and the focus was to try the pizza. Tried the half cheese and half pepperoni and that was delicious. Pepperoni can be a bit spicy but had good flavor. Decided to try another pizza because the first was so good. The Vodka Pie was our second choice and it should have been our first. The sauce and cheese on this pizza was fantastic. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back again and have pizza and beer! Another great Tree House trip.
4th Update 8/19/25: A year later and things have changed. To order pizza you must outside with a person and not an iPad screen. Additionally pizza boxes are on the bottom floor inside the merch area. This is to cater to I guess the larger crowds sitting outside. Whole pizzas are only served Monday - Wednesday. Slices are served Thursday - Sunday. No Vodka pizza available when we came this time which was a major reason for coming. Still a good trip but we miss the Vodka pizza! They still do wristbands but they do not check them off...
Read moreThis one's a doozy, so buckle up: When chatting with a local Sandwich resident, we mentioned our plan to walk into the Brewery for a drink. Resident let us know that we have to buy tickets for entry. We set a notification to purchase tickets when they were released, 2.5 hours before they open. We bought two 'Draft Wave Pour' tickets, which were marked '4 PM-8/9 PM (2) Draft Cocktail Tickets. We took this to mean that you bought two tickets at a time; we referred to the FAQ page and decided that this was the best interpretation of any already confusing process. We arrived at THBC at 6:15PM and had our IDs checked and QR code for our order scanned, only to be told that we had only purchased two tickets and they were way over their occupancy limit (the place was practically empty downstairs and had a middling crowd outside). We expressed our confusion and the staff member gave us two options: be given a refund or split our group of four into two (I.e. two people miss out and aren't allowed in). We were not allowed to split our 4 drinks among people (wasn't our plan to begin with). Obviously, we chose to get a refund. As we walked home, we discussed how confusing this model is, given that you have to buy tickets for entry (and there is a two-drink minimum - what about the DD?); what time does the place ACTUALLY close (8 or 9 PM?); and the (2) marking on the tickets doesn't make it clear that the number refers to number of drinks rather than number of people (there are options for (3) as well). We also re-read the FAQs and confirmed that there was no notice that a ticket was a requirement for entry. After reading the other reviews, it seems clear that this model is alienating and the staff are unhelpful at best and condescending at worst. We wouldn't recommend this bar to anyone not familiar with the area because clearly you need a PhD to figure out their business model. Also, we tried the beer the night before we went...
Read moreAs year-round locals, we absolutely love Treehouse and wouldn’t hesitate to give it five stars or more, if we could. That said, we’re sharing this review in hopes that management will consider recent changes to the food offerings.
Forgive my numbers if they’re off by a dollar or so: Previously, a whole pizza cost $23 (plus a $2 surcharge for hot honey). This was perfect: a full pie to split with someone over a couple of beers with enough left over to take home. Even during the busy season, when wait times could be long, Treehouse was always transparent. There are worse places to wait for a (phenomenal, worth-the-wait) pizza!
Unfortunately, the new system of offering pizza by the slice has ruffled a few feathers.
First, the by-the-slice model seems intended to reduce wait times, but in practice, it creates an on-demand dynamic that can backfire when the kitchen inevitably gets backed up. The previous setup, with a clear expectation of wait, actually felt more relaxed and manageable.
Second, the price increase is significant. Ordering the equivalent of a whole pie in slices now costs $30. Add hot honey at $1 per slice, and you’re looking at nearly a 52% increase. While we understand that food costs have risen, this shift feels less like a reasonable price adjustment and more like an unfortunate case of price gouging hiding behind a wait-time justification.
Lastly, quality control seems to have taken a hit. We’ve noticed inconsistency in slice size, cook time, and presentation from visit to visit. Variance is harder to hide when your slices are coming from separate pies.
Treehouse will always be our favorite local spot, and we offer this feedback out of appreciation and hope for improvement. We’d love to see the whole pie option return, either alongside the slices or as a standalone offering. We’re hoping for a...
