The Deli — Restaurant in Sandwich

We visited on a Tuesday for lunch in mid-June 2025.

Parking was pretty rough as it was a small area and location to the road made some spots tight to get into. There were a constant stream of people and some were tourists as well as they also didn't know what to order or necessarily how. The staff was nice and very accommodating and took their time to help. It may have annoyed some regulars but I think you could call in and preorder and just come pick up. There was just too many options for a visitor who's never been before to really do that.

We ordered: Italian 12 inch, tasted great. Cheese burger, for our youngest who doesn't like lunch meat Loaded meats with peppers, for middle one who loved it Buffalo chicken, for oldest who also liked it

The prices were reasonable for what we got. This was all because my kids demanded that we got sandwiches from Sandwich. LoL. It was worth the slight detour and stop. We would probably visit again if we were driving...

The deli has always been my favorite place to go get sandwiches. I could tell first bite into my sandwich that there was a change in management. The new owner seems to be taking a different approach than the old. The qualities of every part of my sub were less than satisfying. I would normally go to the deli to indulge because I would not purchase as high a quality deli meat as they use on a normal weekly basis, but when I got my sandwich today I was less than satisfied to find out it was of less quality than even I would purchase myself at a grocery store. That's just my opinion of my sandwich. The store itself looks great and the people working were very pleasant and helpful. But I cannot give them more than three Stars based on the fact that the sandwich is the most important part when it comes to rating this place. I hope the owner realizes this and starts improving the quality...

As a tourist, I had heard a lot about this local spot and was excited to try it out, but I could not have been more disappointed. The subs are horrible and extremely ordinary. The staff was not welcoming at all, did not offer to put any of the free toppings on my sub and I asked to remove one item and heard snickering comments. My friend was also waiting with me to order, and the employee just stared blankly as we were trying to order, she asked for everything on her sandwich and literally received no toppings and it was essentially just bread.

Update: I have spoken to the owner, and had a productive conversation regarding what can fixed for the future and he has apologized for the lack of customer service and has assured me this was a one time incident and will hopefully not happen in the future. I wish...
