I honestly can't believe I haven't written a review about this place. The hubs and I have been frequent visitors to S&B for years. The food is always good and fresh. I can't lie, I'm super stoked that soup season is back. I have a fav when it comes to drinks, and I rarely veer. When I tell you that this is the place that has the best margarita in town, I mean it. The hubs enjoys trying out beers as they are rotated. They are always nice to provide a sample prior to him making his final decision.
But do you know what keeps us coming back, practically weekly? The people. The service is amazing and there are three ladies in particular that have captured our hearts...Rebekah, Emily, and Kaylen. Each of them knows us by name and greet us like family. They know about our lives, and we know about theirs. Rebekah is kind and funny...like a really good friend you always enjoy seeing. Emily makes the best damn margarita. There has been many a day where her smile and her margarita have turned my frown upside down. Kaylen probably knows us best. My margarita is entered practically before I hit the door. She reminds the hubs of the beers he has liked or hasn't liked in the past. She is always smiling and cheerful.
This is no shade to the other servers and bar staff there. We've never been treated poorly. But if not for these three, I don't know that our experience would be the same. S&B is kinda like our own small-town Cheers. It feels like family. It's something that can't be faked.
As a veteran of the customer service industry, I place a high standard on service. Good, quality customer service is lacking in a lot of places these days, but not at S&B, and especially not with Rebekah, Emily, and Kaylen. They are the best. We are grateful. And they are what keep us...
Read moreFirst time here, took my son out for his birthday. We had been at a pizza place near by and left after sitting at a table for 15 minutes and not waited on. So we decided to try another restaurant downtown. It's almost 8pm. We chose here. We seated ourselves and a waitress came up with in a minute. Took our drink order, sweet tea and water, and we read the menu. I realize this is a bar and restaurant. They had several different kinds of sandwiches and only 3 entrees (plates). Special was ribs which they only had 2 orders left of. Kinda silly to ask for a kids menu but I did and no, they don't have one at this bar, which I know was a bar. My youngest, who is almost 13, was with us and wasn't finding much on the menu he thought he would like. (Until my plate came and he tasted brisket). We ordered 2 brisket plates and a hot dog. Food came out hot. Brisket was fork tender and had a good smoky flavor. BBQ sauce must be homemade and accompanied the brisket well, tasted like red wine along with citrus/berry, yum. Hotdog came on a pretzel bun and we had asked for only mustard and not all the condiments that the menu had on it. Youngest said it was ok, just not the type of hot dog he is used to getting. Our waitress, whom I don't recall her name, wish I did, was very friendly and attentive. Price reasonable I thought for what we ate, $39 not including tip. Booth we sat at had 2 electrical outlets so if you needed to charge a device you could. Lights are low. They also have out...

The server or the bartender was very helpful and friendly. The food was served in a very reasonable time under 10 minutes. The first thing I noticed was no mac and cheese and the other one was no cornbread. So I should have been prepared for more disappointment, but the photos on the reviews looked very enticing. Unfortunately, I got the short end of the stick. Brisket seemed like it was overcooked. It tasted like pot roast. I specifically asked for the point side but was served. The flat side which I know is not as tender, but I think this establishment prepares their their point side for sandwiches like most traditional barbecue places do and they reserve the flat side for the patrons which most barbecue places do. I was just hoping that they had some slices of the flat left before I ordered. Our bartender did try to make things right by letting the kitchen know the situation, but they just came out with more slices of flat brisket and not really what I wanted. Brisket was tough as a sirloin...Unfortunately I could not eat it because I was not in the mood for steak. I...
