The Depot Park - when being used for appropriate events can unfold into pleasant experience however I find that it is often utilized as a private meeting place for bar bands to expose themselves often lingering for hours after the general public has gone. Late Sunday mornings you can find private unorganized functions with loud rock bands blasting their bass and their vocals beginning as early as 10:00 a.m. if that's your cup of tea. The park and its allowed use has become more of a nuisance in recent time as far as I am concerned. Being forced to listen to loud music without a volume cap on any given day and for extensive hours can become disturbing to even the most tolerable. Read moreI love depot park. If its a hot day the fountain is an excellent way to cool down. If you never been in the railroad house museum it's a pretty nice historical place. Also there are plenty of live concerts and events. The only two small downsides are trains and vagrants. I just never understood the logic of making a park between two active sets of railway tracks on land of the old Sanford train station. Yet, it's a great use of land that was just sitting there. But it can be quite jarring when a train crosses during a live performance. Finally the other minor issue is vagrants. It's a public park and there are going to vagrants that hang around.
