Zaza Coffee — Restaurant in Sanford

We visited Zaza Coffee and ordered a hot chocolate and coffee. The drinks were prepared quickly, and the staff was communicative, which we appreciated.

However, things took a disappointing turn when we sat down. The same staff became extremely loud, making inappropriate comments about a woman’s appearance. This behavior was unacceptable and uncomfortable to witness.

Unfortunately, the drinks didn’t redeem the experience either. My hot chocolate was overly sweet, and the coffee was just average. Additionally, the trash bins were overflowing, and the small tables were not cleaned, adding to the overall unpleasant atmosphere.

Empanada was decent. The ham egg and cheese sandwich was mediocre. The service was poor. The employees have a special gift of making you feel pretty unwelcomed at their establishment and have mastered the “I would really like to be anywhere else but here” attitude. This place should maybe look into hiring people that know how to say things like, “Hi” or “Thank you/You’re welcome” or “Look, can we get this over with so I can get back to smiling and laughing and giving free food to my friends, because paying customers are the worst.” Anyway, I recommend whatever empanada they felt like stocking on the shelf that day. At the spot where Cheeseburger Cheeseburger and Cinnabon used to be, I was surprised to find Cinnabon closed. However, I was warmly welcomed by two friendly women. After placing my order, they informed me of the wait time, and I waited patiently. The queue grew rapidly, but they efficiently served everyone, engaging in small talk that customers appreciated. Their menu offered a variety of items. I tried their beef empanadas, which were quite enjoyable - the crust was light and fluffy, and the filling was flavorful and generous.
