Hollerbach’s at the Sanford Airport is a wonderful surprise—real food with flavor and care in a place usually known for grab-and-go meals. It’s connected to the well-loved two-story Hollerbach’s restaurant in downtown Sanford, and it shows. The dishes use the same ingredients and recipes, giving travelers a true taste of authentic German cooking without ever leaving the terminal.
I ordered the Wienerschnitzel and Jägerschnitzel, and both were excellent—crispy, tender, and properly seasoned. The only small miss was the absence of Rotkohl (red cabbage) and dumplings, which would have made it perfect. Still, what was served stood well on its own.
Their house beers are brewed specifically for Hollerbach’s and pair beautifully with the food. Service was equally impressive—Monika, our waitress, was friendly, efficient, and genuinely engaging.
