Brick house bar & grill — Restaurant in Sanger

Driving thru Sanger looking for a bite to eat. Landed on The Brick House. Service was meh. Served a tall glass of iced tea, no sweetener, corrected when she came back to get our order. I chose the Special, Chinese Chicken Salad. Decided to give it a try since it’s usually a safe choice for me. Something made from crisp fresh lettuce, maybe some almonds, green onions. Topped with those little crunchy rice noodles. Sounded like a winner to me. The waitress brought us complimentary Tomato Bisque soup. Since it was freezing in there, I thought ok, this will help. I’ve never seen tomato Bisque made with vegetables and noodles before. The tomato soup part was good but could have done without the noodles, spinach and squash. My chicken salad arrived with a dirty fork. She fixed that right away. Rice noodles and lettuce were soggy, drowning in dressing. Chicken was canned, yes canned. Those were the only ingredients in the salad. If you think enough of your cooking abilities to open a restaurant. Please, please! Learn to cook first! Google a recipe! Even the garlic toast was a disappointment. Basically ate soggy lettuce for lunch, had to pick out that nasty canned chicken. $15.00 salad. They should stick to bar food and drinks. Frozen...

Came in tonight to give the service another try and of course it disappointed we ordered a steak and a burger the waitress brought our burger to the wrong table at least 5 minutes prior to bringing out my plate and she just left the burger on the bar counter where people were sitting and talking then after approximately 5 mins later she grabs the plate goes to the back and comes out with my plate and my husband’s plate and was going to give him the cold burger that was just sitting there on the counter then when asked to have it remade it took forever for the burger to come out. I get it she was busy but common sense says to figure out who the burger belong to and serve it to the customer instead of leaving it sitting in the open air where people and she was having conversation spit has invisible particles that are airborne and that’s...

Fantastic new joint in town. Had a burger previously, cooked perfectly the way I like. Then had fish n chips on my second trip, light and crispy batter, malt vinegar, and tasty fries. Along with the selection of beverages and other food options, this is my new favorite spot in town. It's kid friendly with a dining room alongside the bar seating. Selection of drink choices includes the typical ones you'd expect a well as some Don Julio, Glenlivet, Jameson, Jose, Jack, Jim, all the dudes you'll need.
