I recently had the pleasure of discovering All African Stores Cuisines, and let me tell you, this is a hidden gem that deserves all the attention it can get! While they are relatively new to the scene, their food, service, and overall experience are nothing short of exceptional.
First off, the Coconut Rice with Plantain and Goat Meat was a revelation. The rice was perfectly cooked, with a subtle coconut flavor that was both fragrant and delicious. The plantains were caramelized to perfection, adding a delightful sweetness that balanced the savory, tender goat meat. I tried both the spicy and non-spicy versions, and both were outstanding in their own right. The spicy version had just the right amount of heat without overwhelming the dish.
The Beef Suya was another highlight. The beef was incredibly flavorful, with a smoky, spicy rub that was addictive. Each bite was tender and juicy, leaving me craving more.
Moving on to the Fufu with Egusi Soup and Mixed Meat (beef, goat, and oxtail), this dish was a comforting and hearty delight. The egusi soup was rich and nutty, perfectly complementing the tender and flavorful meats. The fufu was smooth and paired wonderfully with the robust flavors of the soup.
The Jollof Rice with Plantain and Goat Meat was a symphony of flavors. The rice was vibrant and full of spices, and the goat meat was succulent and packed with taste. The plantains added a lovely sweetness that rounded out the dish beautifully.
Equally impressive was the Fried Rice with Plantain and Goat Meat (spicy). The fried rice had a delightful texture and depth of flavor, and the spicy kick was just right. The combination of the spicy goat meat and sweet plantains made for an unforgettable meal.
I also ordered a small tray of Jollof Rice, which was perfect for sharing and just as delicious as the individual portion.
The Fufu with Okra Soup and Goat Meat was another standout. The okra soup was thick and flavorful, and the goat meat was tender and delicious. This dish was both comforting and satisfying.
Lastly, the Ogbono Soup with Oxtail, Beef, and Goat Meat was a true taste of Nigeria. The ogbono soup had a unique, slightly viscous texture that was incredibly satisfying, and the combination of meats made every bite a delight.

Read moreLocation: If you try to follow the map or the directions through door dash like I did, you'll get confused 😂 It's literally just in the Chevron convenience store where you pick up the food. I didn't realize that when I drove past it to the parking lot behind so I was wandering for 2-3 minutes until I called them to ask.
Service: So friendly and sweet! They are glad to help and want to make sure you love what you order to eat.
Food: It was delicious and satisfying! My first time ever trying actual African food of any kind. I've especially always wanted to eat fufu. I was super curious about the egusi but I'm a bit of a texture person and was worried I wouldn't like that particular one so I ordered the eforiro.
The eforiro was nicely seasoned and well cooked. I think it tasted good and hearty but light at the same time. It didn't make me feel heavy or gross after, so I liked it! The fufu was super fun to use my hands to eat the eforiro with. It was an interesting experience! The fufu texture is soft, pliable, and has a slight chew to it.
Puff puffs were yummy! A familiar taste and texture. It's not overly sweet, just sweet enough. It would be amazing with powdered sugar and/or condensed milk on top! You could pair it with anything as it's essentially just a fried dough. These were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
Overall, a great experience! It's just further than I can drive most times but I would love to try the egusi next time and a...
Read moreI am not sure how businesses like keep scamming people and getting away with it. On 11/23/24, I put in an order for Egusi and yam flour with oxtail and goad over the phone. Upon opening the take-out box I was in disbelief of the portion of the food. Aside from the fufu, Egusi there were only three very small pieces of meat that were mostly bones. Next morning I texted the vendor detailing what had happened and complained about the portion of the food. I had no issue with the food itself. I told the vendor that there were only three small pieces of meat that barely had any meat on it and requested a full refund in the amount of $27.50. Vendor did apologize and offered to make me a new dish but I declined. I did not want to drive 12 miles to the apartment where he is running their business from. When I asked for a refund I did not get a response from him.
Businesses like this should be held accountable and should NOT be allowed to scam customers the way he did. He is running the business from his apartment so he has little to no overhead. There's absolutely no reason for him to overcharge customers and skimp on portions. Even though I have no picture of the actual food, he did NOT disagree when I told there were only three very small pieces of meat that consisted mostly of bones.
I did file a dispute with my credit card company thankfully i was able to get my credit back in full after a little...
