Colima Mexican & Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Santa Ana

Me and my girlfriend visited this restaurant and were highly disappointed. We started our meal with two Corona micheladas, they talked like nothing but tomato juice. I ordered another Corona, to add to my drink but it still tasted like tomato juice. We didnt want to let our drinks ruin our breakfast so we decided to order our meals. I ordered the fried fish and my girlfriend ordered the crab tail. From the first bit it was very apparent that both the fish and crab were frozen when they cooked it in the fryer. When the bill came I couldn't believe that I was about to pay a whopping 72 dollars. Before I came here I read the reviews and what I found was nothing but great reviews. The people leaving a review at this place must either be an employee, relative or the owner. I dont believe that anyone with tastebuds would call this authentic Mexican food. I will never come back...

I enjoy good mexican cuisine. But when you get delicious hand-made corn tortillas, that is the icing on the cake. Colima is a family owned restaurant that serves good home cooked meals and delicious handmade tortillas at a reasonable price. The service is great and the restaurant is very clean. It is a humble establishment located in a small shopping track in a low income neighborhood. If you want atmosphere and a great view, then you need to go to El Torito or Las Brisas in Laguna Beach. Found this place by looking for a Colimas (went to one in Oceanside). This place was great! Our new fave. Very clean, attentive servers. I have food sensitivities and ordered food more plain. Accommodated me in such a nice and friendly way. Brought all of the sides for the table without us asking. Salsa, sour cream, limes. Chips were thick and crunchy. We had Chile relleno, tacos, shrimp quesadillas, carne asada burrito (wet), Jamaica, horchata....
