Tortas ahogadas los primos — Restaurant in Santa Ana

So we moved from Southern California to Chicago, and of course, aside from missing our family, the great Mexican food is also being missed. One place that we really loved was the tortas ahogadas from Los Primos in Santa Ana. Yes, on my trip last year back home to visit family, I off course got me 10 tortas, and the owner graciously packed them for me to take back home on the flight, and they were awesome. Now, they deliver!! We are super excited to be their first delivery customer, and the owner, Victor, has been awesome. The tortas arrived today, 12 of them and we just prepared some per his instructions and they were excellent!! We are thrilled that we can now get those famous Tortas ahogadas from Los Primos that remind us of that great food in So Cal. I highly recommend you giving these a try, specially if you live in another state like I do and want authentic tortas ahogadas!! And yes, they use birotes...

Everything is delicious I have tried everything on the menu and hands down the Best in OC A true OG, Tortas Ahogadas Los Primos (which hit the streets in 2000) I am obsessed with Tortas Ahogadas Los Primos food truck, tacos 🌮 Chakas and tacos de barbacoa, and from the tortas La Vikinga y La Ilegal. Really good torta very close authentic to what they have in Guadalajara. I didn't order the torta ahogada but if felt like it was ahogada in creama. They really went heavy with that crema, for sure. The potatoe tacos were pretty good though. They took a little long to get my order out, so probably be best to call ahead of time. Mad props to the guy who came thru with churros they really hit the spot...
