As soon as I sat down, I heard the female manager/supervisor tell the staff in front of customers about that anyone that is or looks homeless or on the street to not let them use the restroom. Although they have a say to allow non-customers using the restroom, the unprofessionalism in reinforcing staff on protocols should have been done in private behind close doors, especially if they are targeting a specified population.
When I ordered the waitress was hesitant in taking my order because I appeared rugged and "homeless." And also the side comments from staff was prejudice, rude, and degrading when even spoken in another language other than english per Federal and State Regulations.
I had to pull out my $20 bucks to prepay my food in order to hope to get some less prejudice commentary yet it got worse. The food ordered came sloppy, missing items, and when I needed a refill the waitress didn't even bother to ask if I needed a refill. Plus I am an outspoken self talk person, the waitress and other staff were present around to hear my self talk and expressions I got were mocked laughter, frowning judgment, and hasty stares.
My whole experience on January 23 between the hours of 2030 - 2130 hours was the worst ever and I plan never to come back here again. Truly a display of social stigma, social inequality, xenophobia, antipathy, covert/overt bias, lack of training and food service orientation, and lack of culture sensitivity (better be pronounced "Minority Adversity.").
Definitely all Denny's management and regular employees need to be reintroduced or introduced as well as retrained or trained in mental health awareness, culture sensitivity, customer service care, and ethical code of conduct in the food service industry.
I hope that Denny's corporate associates or higher ups have the decency to correct this wrong or injustice. A remedy or some kind of consolation can be offered. I am a Licensed Nurse, Counselor, Business Development Consultant, Security Officer, and Professional Instructor; this experience should never be allowed, encouraged, nor go...

Came to this Denny's to do some work on the computer and grab a small bite to eat. Considering there's no 24hr Starbucks, this was the unfortunate option to keep the coffee coming while burning the hours on the computer.
To say the least, the welcome has been extremely unfriendly, short answered, and mediocre service that meets the bare minimum of just doing enough. My server, KAREN, began with what I thought would be decent service. As the night filled up with midnight customers, it was evident that she was overwhelmed and short of patience. Nothing new dining at Denny's, which you tend to expect.
However when that drop off becomes noticeable based on your lack of courtesy and the attentiveness to friends dining, it becomes unprofessional and inconsiderate. Asking for dipping sauces with chicken strips shouldn't be a forgetful task when you write it down and repeat it. Not only does Karen forget, she continues on without even checking to see if I have silverware or napkins let alone a refill on my drink. All the while you're still entertaining 2 - 3min conversations at each stop with friends in the booth behind me.
It's extremely disappointing to come to a business establishment, no matter the lack of customer service, and be treated like you're not welcomed and even farther, as if it's purely because of your ethnicity. Having conversations in spanish about me as customer simply because you assume I do not speak the language or understand it just sheds that much more light on who you are as a person and what you're not as an employee.
The manager is just as unprofessional as I asked for them and the manager flat out ignores mu request to have my dissatisfaction resolved.
Either way, this will not be the last of this situation as I will report the situation to all the proper channels within the company and outside.
No excuse for being disrespectful because you're overworked and underpaid.

Read moreOne of the worst experience at a Denny's... were should I begin... (mind you I an fully aware it's Denny's and I know what I am on for)... after waiting for 20 minutes for a table we got sat down, waiter was pleasant but overwhelmed and tired, she did her best (She mention that they were understaffed) took our order and move on, after 15 minutes we got our food, almost accurate as to what was ordered, waiter took it back and delivered 10 minutes later... after finishing our meal, dishes were not cleaned from the table... a waiter approached out table offering coffee, we said NO thank you, after several minutes someone wanted coffee, we asked this waiting for a coffee to what he replied and i quote "I just came to your table and asked you if you wanted a refill on your coffee and now you are asking"... we said yes, but it's not a refill it's a new coffee for someone else... after asking for the check, the manager approached the table and we mentioned that the table was never cleaned to what he said "Our standard is 13 minutes, you have 15 minutes, so we are within range to bring out the food " to what we said, bring out our food? can't you see the table its full of empty plates that have not been cleaned, its your standard also 13 minutes to clean a table? and he said "Oh no, for that they should be coming around often, but if you want I can take some"... I understand some days are off, but the way things were handled are NOT correct, it's really clear that employees are not happy with their work, and the owners as this to me it's a sabotage to the business and brand... I would like to know what Corporate thinks...
