Pollo Campero — Restaurant in Santa Ana

Let's talk empanadas. Pollo campero is offering a family meal that consist of three empanadas that appear to be full size meaning one empanada should fill up one person and it also comes with the side of rice. I was terribly shocked to find out that each empanada which was not bad when it comes to flavor but was a bite size piece. Literally one bite. I ordered nine for a family of six thinking each person would have a full size empanada and for the larger members possibly a second one if they weren't satisfied only to be met with toddler size finger food. Next the rice which had barely any flavor, comes in a Barbie doll size bowl that consists of maybe four spoonfuls of rice. Lastly the beans the were flavored and come In a family container which is mis categorized and should be a personal size. I've never eaten at this restaurant before and be it that this was my experience I likely won't eat...

I've been to other Pollo Campero restaurants before and this was my first time at this location. As you walk in, you can see the effort they put in to make sure the restaurant is clean. The employees are really nice and friendly. As I was standing in line, I overheard one of them suggest different meals/deals to a customer who said was their first time trying the food there. I really like how they repeat the order back to you to make sure that they've got your order right at the register and again when they deliver it to your table. The food is pretty good, but it's even better when it's freshly made! If I find myself in the area again, I'm sure...

Jose, the Manager, leads a great team. He is quick to act on situations and resolve issues, all along providing awesome customer service. Also, Vanessa provided great customer service by providing me the order as I had requested. She went out of her way. She kept me posted on wait times of when grilled chicken would be ready. Through the whole process her profesionalism showed very well, as well as with Jose. I waited for a good amount of time bc I live at least 25min away, so it was worth the wait.
