Donut Star — Restaurant in Santa Ana

Very unprofessional. The guy there made me feel unwelcomed. I ordered donut holes, got a few small bags of chips, and chocolate milk. He watches me reach for my pocket and pull my wallet out; he sees my cash - I choose to use card. He swiped it extra hard and so fast then tells me it's declined and looks at my cas. In my personal opinion, I highly suspect he wanted cash and would do whatever to avoid card payment because he didn't look happy at all when I pulled the card out. I politely asked him to swipe again slower and he rejected it saying I always bring problems when we don't even know eachother and never had any conflict. I've always just paid and left and that's once in a while when I go (only been there maybe 5 times).

He doesn't appreciate long term customers I guess. He also has an extreme language barrier which made it even harder.

I won't be returning here and I am going to look into further complaining. Maybe they're not in compliance with how they're handling payment methods, etc.

Last: he tried calling the police on me. If i wasnt in a hurry I'd of sat there a recorded the whole thing,...

So goes without saying it’s not a beautiful ambiance it’s a donut shop in and out pickup and leave type place. That has never discouraged me from visiting a donut shop in the past. The lady’s were really nice and helpful BUT the ice coffee was terrible I’ve gotten ice coffee from many donut shops and I’m always fine with different variations this ice coffee taste like it has something weird in it Idk if the ice is bad or the is burnt or what it is but it’s absolutely terrible and for $6 ! I could’ve gone to Starbucks for that much and I don’t even like Starbucks and Starbucks would have been way better than this. I usually don’t leave reviews but have to warn people...

I go here ever so often, maybe once a month and I've been a happy customer since about 3 years ago. I like that I can get my chow mien fix or my donuts fix here. Too bad they don't serve ice blended coffees, but it's okay because McDonald's has good coffee right across the street from here.

Service is usually fast, given it's busy as normal for lunch, and orders are mostly accurate as you get to watch them fill your plate for you. The staff is helpful and I've never seen them act negatively.
