So went this weekend after a day of hanging out with family and friends. As you know, it was HOT this sunday, so I left home in tennis shoes, shorts, and my Kobe jersey. Before getting to El Indio, not ONE location said ANYTHING about my jersey. Not Tilted Kilt. Not the District at Orange. Not Danny Ks. Not the Pump Room. Not Chapter One. Not Cerveza Cito. Decided to come to El Indio. Walk up. Security looks directly at me. Not anyone else in my group. Says sorry but management has decided that jerseys are not allowed any more? Really? Because I have worn this same jersey here before. He says no. Not anymore. My group started to protest. I said stop. We can go somewhere else. So we went to Hectors on Broadway and spent $400 there. The food at El Indio is mediocre at best. The beers are WAY overpriced. And my college dorm at UCSB was bigger then their patio. So I guess when your bar is all over Tik Tok and IG because your security guards dont know how to handle a fight and pepper spray EVERYONE, you decide to ban certain articles of clothing. WHEN THE REAL ISSUE IS YOUR STAFF AND BARTENDERS DONT KNOW WHEN TO STOP SERVING DRUNK PEOPLE. Take your money and business elsewhere. Lots of bars in Downtown Santa Ana that know what they are doing. Another year or two and El indio will be long gone. Just like other yuppy restaurants in DTSA....
Read moreI just witnessed the most disgusting thing I have seen at this bar. A trans woman was getting harassed and berated by a group of men screaming obscenities at her. They were screaming the most disgusting things and nobody was helping the woman and her friends. Security even kicked the trans woman out while the pigs yelling at her continued drinking and partying. Obviously the people that own this bar, the employees and the people who frequent this bar are degenerates with no sense of common decency. The bar was packed and nobody helped her while this low life pig screamed about her genitalia and her being trans. Just a trashy spot for trashy people. The owners should be ashamed but I know they’re not because they are trashy just like the people that come here. Not...
Read moreCame here after a football game on a Sunday and the place was pretty packed.
Security - Strick on no Jerseys or Hats other than that they seem chill.
Bathrooms - Ridiculous lines waiting for the restroom as they only have 2 and both are unisex. Had to wait for the longest time as the women took forever and they had at least 10 people waiting.
Music - Mostly reggaeton music or Mexican music playing that was ok.
Venue - When I went it was like a dayclub as they turned the inside into a dance floor.
Bar - Small bar with backed up lines but great pours.
Patio - Wrap around patio with seating to chill and socialize but can get crowded.
Overall it wasn't too much of my crowd , a lil packed, and overall not my type of place....
