Crave in Downtown Santa Ana has become my regular lunch spot, mainly because of their commitment to freshness. It's noticeable in every aspect of their food.
Their sandwiches are the standout item. The bread, which I've been told is baked daily, makes a significant difference. It's always fresh and complements the high-quality ingredients well.
I've tried most of their sandwich options over time, and the quality has been consistently good.
The cookies here are also worth mentioning. They're baked fresh, and the peanut butter cookie is particularly good.
I appreciate their beverage options beyond the usual sodas. The green tea, mango tea, and fresh lemonade are all good choices that pair well with their food.

Read moreMy family and I really enjoyed our dining experience at Crave! My son in law and daughter visiting from northern Cal. found this hidden restaurant gem. My husband and I drove in from Pasadena for our "post" Covid family gathering .. Never knew this place exist. As a family of six with two active young grandkids and baby the open environment and music were perfect! We ordered a variety of breakfasts from their tantalizing selections. I ordered an omelet with my choice of ingredients. All the food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor with generous portions. Our server Frank was awesome providing exceptional service from the second our family walked through their doors. Highly recommended. Must have the cookies!!!!! Don't leave without one. PS kudos to the owner who did everything in her power, succeeding in keeping her cool staff together and employed during Covid. Thanks for the memorable...

The first bite my husband took revealed ham in the frittata. (We eat kosher.) Umm wth? Instead of waiting another 30 min for a redo we just shared mine, which was too big for me anyhow. The staff were apologetic and gave us a $10 certificate to come back. Coffees were good, but not hot enough. Will definitely go back to check...
