Don Churros Gomez — Restaurant in Anaheim

The churros are the bomb!! Awesome! Fresh! Tasty! Yummy! Delicious! Soft and crunchy at the same time, sugary! Delicious filling inside! We did not try the rest of the menu, I will definitely go back for the funnel cake style one, or the don churro which I believe is a bigger thicker version of the regular churro, not sure. I recommend this place if you're willing to wait more than 25 min to AN HOUR! I honestly never thought I would have had to wait ONE HOUR, I repeat: ONE HOUR and minutes for three churros, but I have to say that it passed the test with my son, he loved them! So, I guess for a happy son it's worth it. But really, be aware! You will have to wait for ever (almost literally) FOR EVER! The funnel cake style churro comes with ice cream on top, and it looks really appealing in the picture, so do the other versions of churros with icecream, so the options are many and the flavor im pretty sure not disappointing. The web page says they close at 10 but it was a little after 10 when we where there still waiting and people kept on coming without being turn away, and when we left around 1020am there was still a short line and no signs of closing. The servers are friendly and they have nice decently loud music playing which makes it the wait "handleble." I recommend, but I can not stop but enfasicing how crazy the wait time can be, I am still flabbergasted! Lol. So, yes try it, but...

Fresh churros, worth the drive from wherever you are!

For some strange reason I was craving churros (I don’t eat sweets much) and found this place on Yelp. With plenty of good reviews and savory looking photos I decided to take my girlfriend here and give the place a shot.

Located in the far corner of the parking lot (on Anaheim Blvd) at Anaheim Marketplace, it wasn’t hard to spot the lit up “Don Churros” signage in the very spacious location. We pulled straight up to the place, parked along the cone barrier, and proceeded to wait in line.

The line moved quickly to place our orders. We ended up ordering the Churros w/ Ice Cream. Vanilla bean was our ice cream of choice with a condensed milk drizzle. It took maybe 10-15 minutes to receive our order, but that’s expected because it’s made-to-order!

How was it?

Churros w/ Ice Cream: Absolutely delicious. (5) 5” churros with a scoop of ice cream and your choice of drizzle. You can’t go wrong with this combo. The churros were perfect — crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The warm churros with the cold ice cream was a match made in heaven.

Service was good, we briefly chatted with the person taking our order.

There’s small benches that you can sit on to enjoy your food.

The parking lot is huge, and not a problem if you don’t mind walking a little (or a lot).

Don churros!! Best spot in orange county for an authentic churro straight from the motherland yahualica.Jalisco,Mexico. They have your traditional churro with or without ice cream. The vanilla ice cream is nice and milky and of high quality you can just taste it..😋 they also have the vanilla bean churro which is my favorite its pretty much a traditional churro but cooked in a different way they make it thicker kind of like a baguette they put the vanilla ice cream in it and they spread cajeta inside the churro !!! Which is like Mexican nutella but one hundred times better not to sweet its just enough sweetness to not overpower the pallet. The best thing is that they are super clean👌 so the place looks appetizing. It's not a busted old trailer which makes a difference in the sanitation. It's very modern and they always have good music playing. It's right in the Anaheim swapmeet parking lot so that's cool because you never struggle with parking theres enough space to park. The staff is very friendly and professional they make you feal welcome and they crank out orders fairly quick considering the fact that they are very popular and always have a line.
