The specialty of Tito's La Especial are "tacos al vapor," aka steamed tacos. This delicious Mexican street food is also known as "tacos de canasta" (basket tacos) because they're traditionally layered in a big basket and sold by street vendors, many of whom hawk them from their bikes.

Tito's "Carne Deshebrada Taco Al Vapor" is excellent. Aside from steamed double corn tortillas comprising each taco's "shell," the chile-steeped shredded beef inside is soft, luscious, and as juicy as you'd want any meat to be. You do want to eat these quickly, before the tortillas begin to stick to the wrappers they are served in. Despite the fact they traditionally would be drizzled in oil (to help preserve them) and served out of a basket over the course of a day, these tacos are best made-to-order. I would also recommend the "Papas Taco Al Vapor," consisting of seasoned potatoes in a ranchera sauce, a loose mash of creamy crushed potatoes and firmer chunks, all colored orange from the sauce.

The "Taco Dorado de Carne Deshebrada" served here is the complete opposite of the al vapor tacos, as the tortilla is instead a crunchy deep-fried shell that is stuffed with stewed beef, lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and shredded cheese. Tito's does a decent job with this style of taco, but you really should stick to the al vapor tacos here, which are indeed "especial."

Tito's La Especial's salsa roja is made of fire and miracles and I recommend it be used on everything...

The food is as always on point. We only go 2-3 times a year and it should probably be less, for health reasons of course. Because as delicious as those beans and tacos are, I can literally feel my arteries clogging as I eat. The atmosphere is never the best but then again, what can I expect. It's a place for our "raza" and because of that people go in there and don't make their kids behave. I'm referring to a mixed age family that was made up of a generation X, millennials and their offspring. Who do you blame for a preschooler not behaving, the grandparents or the parents??? All I'm saying is, courtesy and respect for other diners should be the same. Whether you go with your family to eat at Titos or you're...

I love finding places that are a hole in the wall. These tacos de vapor are so simple, yet so memorable and favorable !!! I repeat so memorable and favorable. After asking the owner, they are proudly Tijuana style!😎👌🏽 The tacos de vapor (res/beef) come with double oiled tortillas with lettuce inside. They provide a red sauce on the side to add on your tacos ( how much ever you want), and to add MORE favor to your tacos they provide vinegar carrots.

Don't ask dumb questions like what comes in the burrito or tortas.....it's provided in the menu with details.

Price is decent, I usually pay no more then $24 for myself and with...

This place has some delicious papa tacos! I like that they have hard and soft tacos. Went for lunch with the work team and got crispy potato tacos and a tostada. Everything is fresh, hot and very flavorful. If your order is under about 10 bucks and you use electronic payment, there is a charge, I usually pay cash. The lunch combo specials come with a drink and the horchata was some of the most well balanced sweetness I've had. Definitely a good place for Mexican food.
