Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Santa Barbara

This review is long overdue and unfortunately really really wanted it to be a 5 star! I’m a food courier so I come here (as well as all the fast food chains in SB/Goleta) almost every night. I especially come to the 24 hr restaurants bc I work the graveyard. When I come in and see their lead Marcella working I immediately know it’s going to be a pleasant visit! This woman and her team just kill it every single time! It can be wall to wall busy or dead as can be but no matter what Marcella always has a smile and always welcomes me with genuine warmth! She clearly can see how hard I work and she’s even asked me how I was doing as a rude customer was non stop ranting at her for some stupid reason! She works so hard and obviously cares very much about her job here. Her team listens to her and responds so well that you can tell they have much respect for her. It can get really crazy busy there especially on the weekends after the bars close. She handles the insane amount of sudden orders like a boss and keeps the drunkards at bay! If I could I’d write you a novel about the last fiesta weekend where I thought for sure she’d break I would! I was literally stepping over drunk people that Saturday night! She kept her composure, never hesitated, stayed calm and professional and pushed out those orders like it was nothing! If she’s not already she’s deserves max pay! At least a future manager! Bravo Marcella! Easily my favorite late night employee! So I really dislike giving bad reviews but they lost a star bc on 2 nights a week (I think) there is another lead who is the complete opposite of Marcella. In fact I wouldn’t normally even say anything except that this girl hates me for some reason I’m not aware of. Everytime I come in and she’s the lead I know that she’s going to first give me a super horrible dirty look, ask me what I want or just nod with an eye roll (which I’ve learned means what do you want), act extremely annoyed and put off, put my order on the counter without saying a word or even looking at me (I’ve actually waited for her to tell me it’s my order and the running time is 16 minutes she let me stand there), never saying hello , goodbye thank you just nothing. I’ve tried asking her if I’ve done something? Just looks confused. I make sure I’m polite always greeting her saying thank you but no matter what just loathes my presence! Which would be fine if I deserved it but honestly can’t think of any reason why she’s so rude! I literally avoid going there, decline nice paying deliveries when she’s working…. So I knocked off a star. Ultimately I recommend this location I’ll just hope that the rude girl likes you more than she likes me. Marcella is...

An order of Jack in the Box tacos consists of two tacos. I ordered 2 orders of tacos. The young man kept questioning if I wanted 2 tacos. I said I wanted 2 orders of tacos. Get my order and there are only 2 tacos. I tell him that I needed another order of tacos. He again questioned if I wanted 2 tacos. I said well isn't one order of tacos 2 tacos? Then 2 orders of tacos would be 4 tacos. He still looked puzzled and said so you want another order of tacos? Yes! I asked for 2 orders and you only gave me one. He replied so you want 2 tacos?? Again I replied if one order is 2 tacos then yes I want 2 tacos. Exactly what I originally ordered the first time. Plus no hot sauce. They added the hot sauce and had to make 2 more tacos. The lady making the tacos looked at me & sang something in Spanish & spoke in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish but by the sound of it she wasn't happy. She mad the young man I ordered from make the tacos. He shoved them in front of me and said here's your tacos I s and I made them myself! Had been driving long and if I didn't have my 90 year old Mom with me I would of walked out....

Consistently over cooked fries, which are somehow cold by the time I get them. So, basically stale cold french fries like the ones I got last night. Attempting to reheat them turns them into cardboard. I wouldn't normally bother reviewing a fast food restaurant but you replied so here we are. You need better quality control, the employee who finishes the transaction needs to look at the food and ask themselves if the quality is acceptable. I was just going to stop going to your restaurant but since you have bothered to reply to my 2 star review I may give it another chance. If the fries are old and gross, throw them out and make a new batch. I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes, that should be obvious. You're a burger & fries place, your fries need to not be awful when there are plenty of businesses offering the exact same stuff in the immediate...
