So excited that we have a new sandwich spot in town! Got the Surfer Rosa sandwich and it was really tasty. Had a lot of favor and the ingredients tasted fresh, plus It was a big sandwich! The only thing I didn't like was the bread (it was a bit dry and it was too thick) I feel like this specific sandwich would taste better on something different. I am also bummed we didn't get any pickles like they advertised. We did have to wait about 45 minutes for two sandwiches and it was $38 for the two plus a side of chips. A little on the pricey side but again the sandwich was big. We didn't really mind waiting because the staff was really friendly and they just opened this past week! Although, I do wish that they would have let us know the wait time ahead of time. There was a lady (customer) who was very rude and complained to the staff multiple times, but the staff handled it perfectly! Overall, great food, great service and a nice atmosphere. Oh, and there is plenty of parking! Hoping they add more veggie options in the future and I'm excited to go back~

One sandwich is two meals for us, or it would be great to share with someone if you could possibly agree on the same thing. They don't have a ton of options, which I found delightful. I love when a place focuses on quality instead of trying to wow you with options. We got a Simone's and Italian Petting Zoo. (Obviously we couldn't agree on the same sandwich. ) Yum. Just yum every bite. And I had my first bag of Rusty's potato chips. What?! Those were fantastic... And...AND! They have some fun art on the wall. We were reminded of a quirky ice cream shop we love in the Midwest that has a similar wall art theme. Enjoyed the 80's tunes playing through the speakers. Can't wait to go back next time I need a sammich. Two thumbs up, folks.

This is the best sandwich in Santa Barbara, hands down, no question. It’s rare for me to be blown away by a sando & when I say Mission City blew my mind, I mean it. We got the Strut & the Simone’s big “but” & both had deliciously crispy, yet soft bread. The pastrami was so incredibly tender & the flavor was spot on. The basil pesto vin on the “but” was so fresh- I had to stop myself from eating the second half so I could have more later. Thank you guys for putting care & love into what you make, it is felt & DELICIOUS. we will be back!

I went on one of the first days that they were open and while yes it was busy with a longer wait, it was well worth it. What else would you expect on an shop's first few days? (Especially one that was advertised everywhere). I was able to try a few different sandwiches between my friends and I, and each one was amazing. Unique ideas (but not strange), high quality ingredients, good bread, and put together well. There was a variety of options and the sandwiches were big enough for two meals-- well worth the slightly higher price point. The location was new, clean, and in a nice part of town. Individually, these things aren't worth writing a review; however, Mission City has all of them. Now that makes it a place...
