So excited that we have a new sandwich spot in town! Got the Surfer Rosa sandwich and it was really tasty. Had a lot of favor and the ingredients tasted fresh, plus It was a big sandwich! The only thing I didn't like was the bread (it was a bit dry and it was too thick) I feel like this specific sandwich would taste better on something different. I am also bummed we didn't get any pickles like they advertised. We did have to wait about 45 minutes for two sandwiches and it was $38 for the two plus a side of chips. A little on the pricey side but again the sandwich was big. We didn't really mind waiting because the staff was really friendly and they just opened this past week! Although, I do wish that they would have let us know the wait time ahead of time. There was a lady (customer) who was very rude and complained to the staff multiple times, but the staff handled it perfectly! Overall, great food, great service and a nice atmosphere. Oh, and there is plenty of parking! Hoping they add more veggie options in the future and I'm...
Read moreOne sandwich is two meals for us, or it would be great to share with someone if you could possibly agree on the same thing. They don't have a ton of options, which I found delightful. I love when a place focuses on quality instead of trying to wow you with options. We got a Simone's and Italian Petting Zoo. (Obviously we couldn't agree on the same sandwich. ) Yum. Just yum every bite. And I had my first bag of Rusty's potato chips. What?! Those were fantastic...
And...AND! They have some fun art on the wall. We were reminded of a quirky ice cream shop we love in the Midwest that has a similar wall art theme. Enjoyed the 80's tunes playing through the speakers. Can't wait to go back next time I need a sammich. Two...
Read moreI went on one of the first days that they were open and while yes it was busy with a longer wait, it was well worth it. What else would you expect on an shop's first few days? (Especially one that was advertised everywhere). I was able to try a few different sandwiches between my friends and I, and each one was amazing. Unique ideas (but not strange), high quality ingredients, good bread, and put together well. There was a variety of options and the sandwiches were big enough for two meals-- well worth the slightly higher price point. The location was new, clean, and in a nice part of town. Individually, these things aren't worth writing a review; however, Mission City has all of them. Now that makes it a place...
