If you're in the mood for a sophisticated Mexican dining experience, look no further than this upscale restaurant! With an incredible outdoor seating arrangement, you can soak up the sunshine while enjoying some of the most unique Mexican dishes you'll ever taste. One of the standout features of this restaurant is its exceptional cocktails. The mixologists here are masters of their craft, and they've created a range of drinks that are truly out of this world. I particularly recommend the margarita with mezcal or the daiquiri - both are simply divine. Of course, the food is the star of the show here. The attention to detail in every dish is apparent, and you'll love the fine dining twist that the chefs have given to each one. There are many public parking around and it is easy to find a spot. And with such a popular restaurant, it's definitely worth making a reservation to secure your spot, otherwise the bar is always very welcoming. Overall, this is one of the best Mexican dining experiences I've ever had. From the exceptional drinks to the delicious food, everything about this restaurant is top-notch. So if you're looking for a fancy night out with a Mexican twist, this is the perfect spot.

Amazing Food and Drinks at Santo Mezcal My recent visit to Santo Mezcal was an absolute delight. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the stage for an incredible dining experience. We started with the ahi tuna ceviche, which was beautifully presented and tasted as fresh as it gets. The combination of flavors was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of citrus to highlight the delicate tuna. For the main course, we enjoyed the shrimp and fish tacos, which were simply outstanding. The seafood was cooked to perfection, seasoned impeccably, and paired with fresh, vibrant toppings that made every bite a burst of flavor. The drinks were equally impressive. Each cocktail was crafted with care, blending bold and refreshing flavors that perfectly complemented the meal. The creativity and execution in the bar program at Santo Mezcal truly stand out. Overall, Santo Mezcal delivered on all fronts – exceptional food, amazing drinks, and great service. Whether you're looking for a casual night out or a special occasion spot, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and try more from their incredible menu!

We called ahead to see if the restaurant takes reservations, they do not. We came at 7:44pm, the hostess said it would be 10 min, took our phone number and said we’ll receive a text. We did not receive a text but walked up to the hostess at 7:54pm to double check if it was our turn. She said that there was another party ahead of us and that it should be no more than another 10 minutes. We stayed close by in her vicinity, just in case. At 8:20pm - half an hour later - I walked up to her again to see if it was our turn yet. She said: “well, we texted you two times and you haven’t responded”. I was a bit taken back by this and mentioned to her that we literally stood two feet away from her all this time. As it turned out, she added the wrong area code, so we never received the text. I’m a little frustrated by the quality of the customer service , especially when hostesses and waitresses usually have a good face memory. All she had to do is literally call the name or take one step over to us. I’m including a photo to show how close we were standing. After we were finally seated at 8:40pm (an hour later, not 10 min later, and this was on a Monday night!) we inhaled our food, that was actually pretty good. I wish I wasn’t this hungry, so I could actually savor the food. The drink I ordered was overly sweet to the point of being unbearable. The ratio of alcohol and mix was off, in my opinion. Out of everything: ambiance, food, drinks, service…the only thing we liked was the food.

We went in June so we sat outside and watched the People passing by on State Street. The staff was courteous and friendly. Our waiter forgot a couple of items, our silverware, our straws, our water. Aside from that the service was great. They have these Fresh Crispy Chips and OMG a variety of three tasting flavors salsas. Classic Restaurant style, Green creamy, and a dark red oil Chile that packs a punch! For drinks we had the El Peruano: was like a carbonated grapefruit with a bitter after taste, different and fresh. The Oaxacan Daiquiri: Strong drink served in the classic daiquiri glass. The Margarita Pepino: looks refreshing tasted peppery. The Riviera Hermosa: Colorful Drink. A delicious blend of sour flavors. This drink is bomb!!!! For dinner we had the Filete Atiguo: Chile Relleno was on point. Mole sauce was very tasty, not a huge fan of the tortilla it came in and the Chicken was dry. The Chorizo beans were a bit Salty (good with the complimentary chips), the Nopal was fresh and on point, came with delicious cebollas. Mar y Tierra: You can taste the grill on this bad boy... But it needed salt. The Lobster Tail needed the buttery dip and Lemon, and the potatoes it came with were good however they looked like sliced beats or onions so the eye to flavor combination was off. (Update the photo on the menu guys it does not do it justice). All in all it was a good experience.

Good spot for Mexican food, it’s nothing like fast Mexican junky. So try this restaurant if you want something new I’ve been there twiceI tried tuna ceviche, ceviche de mariscos, tacos toro (on photo), quesadillas Flor calabaza Everything is a bit spicy be ready for it! Quesadilla is not as usual, it serves like taco, in a pita and has lots of lettuce Tacos toro on photo - I love the salad, it’s with mandarin and sweet sauce, taste sooooo good Tacos are in papers and it’s spicy, be careful) Ceviche de mariscos has plenty of seafood, sauce based on tomato and slightly spicy Tina tar tar was the best match with my taste and highly recommend to try it- not really spicy, perfect combination tomato sauce and fresh tuna with some greens Be ready: they do not have coffee, only tea for the hot drink. Or a wide range of desserts at all You can eat at the bar and see how people cook if you a close to the kitchen. I can tell kitchen looks neat and tidy, people cook in gloves and seem clean
