Dylan Star Boutique — Local services in Santa Barbara

Absolutely the BEST shopping experience I’ve had in over 25 years (back when there was customer service - clothing stores had people assist you and when there were full service gas stations! 😜).

I was traveling from Texas to Santa Barbara for our daughter’s wedding and called days prior to arriving in SB…. Elizabeth from Dylan Star took my phone call, was so kind & helpful during our call - she made me an appointment to come in, asked me pertinent info (clothes & shoe sizes, events I was attending, etc.) and was attentive to my input about the type of clothing types I do NOT like….

When I got to SB and arrived at my appt, Elizabeth and Erica (the owner) had the dressing room filled with outfits and shoes. They zipped, laced, tied, etc. the outfits as I tried them on, and even offered fashion tips by bringing me belts, long sheer over-jackets, etc to try on.

I’m sooo not a shopper (I HATE shopping) and have zero fashion sense…. As a matter of fact, I would have never even tried on many of the things I tried on (and bought) had they not picked them out for me! (My daughter usually does what they did for me - brings me home new outfits for special occasions and I end up loving them).

I ended up with a hella lotta outfits I bought and took back to my hotel to try on in private and show my husband to help me decide which to keep and which to return….

Happily (for me) & sadly ($ 😜 $ for my husband) I ended up keeping everything!!!! Belt, sheer flowy outer cover (I’m sure there’s a name for them, lol), rompers, an LBD, maxi-dresses, earrings, my favorite blouse ever, and 2 pair of shoes!!!!

I’m a customer for life and will absolutely be ordering on-line from them in the future since I know they know fashion and they were so awesome in picking out my sizes and outfits!!! I totally trust them to have great variety of pretty clothes that I can wear casually or dress up with their styling & accessorizing recommendations!

I know this is so long that there will be some “TLDR’s” so in summary….

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND for people that need help with ideas / fashion, want personal attention while trying on clothes, and want some cute non-mass market outfits!

What a breath of fresh air! Moving from San Francisco to Santa Barbara was a culture shock for my family and I. We’ve grown to love it here in SB but if we need clothing with any sort of style we have to pile back in the car and drive south to LA or north to SF. But Dylan Star 🌟 is here now and offers some really fun, high quality and unique pieces. Hats, purses, worldly duffle bags and nice imported shoes. I recently bought these shoes there and love them! So impressed with all the sales people’s knowledge of where every single piece of clothing and accessories are supplied from. My husband actually suggested I check out Dylan Star after his haircut at Salon U. He had been looking at the clothes while he waited and thought it was stuff I would like. He could not have been more correct! I went in with a very specific mission:denim! I just got rid of all the jeans I never wear and was in dire need. I wasn’t really sure where to start but luckily Erica was there to save the day. She picked out styles and sizes so I could get a feel and was right there with positive feedback and alternates when I needed them.
