Food: 4/5 the nigiri here is amazing!! I would avoid getting the sashimi here in the future, they are real fatty and I don’t think they are marinated beforehand so doesn’t have any unique taste to them.
• Aburi Kagoshima A5 Wagyu with caviar nigiri 5/5 yummy ! • Scallops nigiri 5/5 so so soooo good!!! The texture and flavor is mind blowingly good for takeout sushi • Salmon Sashimi 3/5 super fatty pieces • Unagi nigiri 5/5 perfect marination and taste! • Hokkaido Scallops Sashimi 3/5 nothing special about the taste here • Aburi Bluefin tuna Otoro nigiri 4/5 • bluefin tuna chutoro nigiri 3/5 really fatty • Aburi Kagoshima A5 Wagyu nigiri 4/5 • Aburi salmon toro nigiri 4/5
Can’t comment on the service as this is a takeout only experience. There was someone there to bring out the order and if the order was ready before we got there, the order would be in the locker and the person would be there to help get the locker open.
I hope cheflangsushi can get their menu ordering fixed on their website! Hoping to see the special omakase option on there as it is missing from DoorDash. Right now I can only order from this place from DoorDash order platform and it is missing some of the special sushi’s that is mentioned on the website.
The packaging is nice as there is a ice pack included in the large white bag. There are utensils, wasabi and soy sauce packets.
Price wise this place is $$$$ Great quality...
Read moreI've been looking for doing a takeout from Chef Sushi Lang for a while! I only hesitated because I know how takeout sushi might not be as ideal as dine in.
Finally decided to try it out and I'm really happy about how it turned out. The fish is all very fresh and I love their ikura especially. We ordered a bunch of Aburi and fatty fish and they tasted great. The rice can be slight cold but it's okay. Honestly it's way better than most dine in sushi in Santa Clara. Pandemic makes it hard to dine in at sushi restaurant, so this definitely will be my go to sushi if I'm not able to go to San Mateo or San Francisco for those fancy Michelin restaurants.
The price is not cheap, but there are options that are more effordable you can try. Can't wait to try out their seasonal...
Read moreThe best sushi take out in the South Bay. High quality fish mostly imported from Japan and each week the types of fish are different - always fresh, seasonal and distinct. My favorites are the Aji and zuke bluefin tuna. The chef is really serious and dedicated to every ingredient and spice he adds into each nigiri - the right matching spice and portion. I NEVER ended up with something like too much ginger or too much soy sauce or too much wasabi. Not forget to mention the rice itself is awesome with great texture and ideal density/size. I ordered several times already, nothing disappointed me. It's definitely a great place to go if you wish to get authentic sushi and tired of just getting salmon or hamachi in most...
