Lucky Tea — Restaurant in Santa Clara

It's been quite a while since I last visited Lucky Tea (with COVID-19 and all I haven't been strolling around malls much). Despite this, Lucky Tea is still my go-to boba place in Valley Fair mall.

Lucky Tea is located on the second floor of Valley Fair mall - right across from Ramen Nagi (which you can't miss as there always seems to be a line outside the restaurant) and next to the ICON theater. It's not a large storefront by any means, but it's greenery wall will definitely catch your eye.

You can order either at the cashier stand or at the self-serve kiosk (I honestly didn't notice the later until recently so I haven't tried it myself but it sure sounds convenient as opposed to waiting in line). Of note, their recommended sweetness is 50%, which I personally find fits my tastes quite well.

As a forever fan for fruit teas, my go-to drink here is their lychee jasmine green tea. Even without any added toppings it comes with some bits of lychee and lychee jelly, which is a nice surprise.

I am so insanely upset. I just went to this place. Customer service was terrible. The person was yelling in my face and I am not even kidding. I was on the verge of tears because I was so stressed out and I was just trying to get my Boba and she was just standing there yelling at me because I didn't know if I wanted Jasmine tea or the other tea. My boba tastes watered down and terrible. I got added Boba and I think I have about seven pieces of Boba in my cup and there soggy. I'm so upset and I honestly would love to take further action because my feelings are really hurt and I feel like I was targeted. All the workers were just laughing in the corner when we got there and when we were trying to order, they just seem so passive aggressive and it was honestly just like the worst experience I've ever had in my life. Great flavors and with lots of options. Right next to ICON theater inside the Westfield mall makes it a prime spot. With the extra toppings, gets little expensive but we are talking about boba drinks here so... We tried rose milk tea with boba and aloe vera toppings, and thai milk tea with coffee jelly. Rose milk tea was good with real rose petals and thai milk tea with coffee jelly was just amazing. I would order that again.
