Ordered Jjamppong and Tangsuyuk.
The Tangsuyuk was okay — nothing special, but at least there was no unpleasant pork smell, which is a good sign. The portion was generous. I paid $0.50 for a to-go box and packed the leftovers, and they still tasted okay when I had them at home.
The Jjamppong, however, was disappointing. It looked great with plenty of seafood on top, but the taste didn’t live up to its appearance. The broth was bland — like it was missing seasoning or depth. The seafood didn’t seem very fresh, though I’ll give credit for the portion size, which was much better than what you’d get at Bukkyung Banjeom. The noodles felt like pre-packaged ones that didn’t match the dish at all — though maybe that’s expected at this price point in the SF Bay Area.
