The owner is an idiot.
Myself and 5 others walk in to have dinner, THE PLACE HAS 2 PEOPLE ONLY, and we are sat down in a corner with little room. I can't remember her name, but we were hosted by an older Hispanic woman. She takes our drink orders and we wait. Drinks take a little longer than usual, no big deal.
The orange juice we ordered was pure concentrate. It was like drinking glue.
She had forgotten my drink. So I wait about 5 minutes after everyone else gets theirs, I flag her down and say excuse me, I'm missing my coke.
She says "oh." A few minutes pass, she seats two more people, and low and behold, both of them get their drinks brought to them.
So at this point we have been here for about an hour, still no food, no drink, and no one has come by to check in on us.
So we all get up to leave. We tell her its ridiculous that we waited this long for food, let alone a drink, especially after you have brought others' drinks after I ordered, waited and then reminded you.
She says something to the owner in Spanish, and they're talking for a minute or so, as we are waiting to pay for the drinks we got, minus the one we never did.
The owner says "If the food is ready, you can not leave. I will not allow you to leave until you pay for the food."
I said okay, bring the food to our table then, it's not there. Where is it?
The lady tells the cooks to stop cooking in Spanish, that we are leaving.
I ask the owner, why do they need to stop cooking if our food is ready? Huh?
He gives me a dirty look, and talks to his server. We have been here over and hour now, and now it's an ordeal in front of the 3 other people in the restaurant. The owner than says, "okay bye, you no want to eat, bye. We don't want you here."
I said excuse me, I'd love to eat the food I ordered over an hour ago, and the drink would have been great.
He says no, bye.

Read moreI'm livid. My friend and I ordered dinner; my friend ordered a steak medium well. The steak came and it was well done. She ate a couple bites and then could not eat anymore because it was too done. When the waitress came over to ask if we wanted dessert, my friend told her the steak was too done and she could take it. The waitress said she would bring it back and have it done again and my friend said that it was okay, to just take it, she didn't want it or another one. The waitress said would talk to the manager to see if she could take the steak off the bill and just charge her for the sides. My friend said that was okay, she didn't need to do that. The waitress then took the plate, walked over to the cook and said in Spanish "There is nothing wrong with the steak, she was just full." My friend happens to speak Spanish fluently and she called the waitress over to ask her why she told the cook there was nothing wrong, that she was full instead of dissatisfied. The waitress said "I just assumed you were full." She then walked back th the cook and said in Spanish "look at what she said, she's not full, she just doesn't trust that you won't step on the steak or spit on it. Fuc×÷/$ honkies just want free food." Funny thing is, my friend is half black and doesn't even look white, but I do. My friend complained to the manager who did not even apologize. So, if you are white, you should probably stay away from this Denny's, they discriminate, especially Maria A. If you are black you should stay away also, because they think...
Read moreI came in super late night with a friend. Chang was our server and he was so courteous and kind. I asked for Hot chocolate and some creamers, but he told me he could make it with milk (never has a Denny's employee offered that before) it made such a huge difference to my experience to have a waiter who cared about the quality of the food, experience and dining. Even when they were out of large sausage, he let me know and I told him the small ones were fine and he ended up giving me 4 instead of 2! He noticed right away when drinks got low and when plates were empty. Clearing soundlessly. Never interrupted a conversation. Seriously, I haven't seen this kind of service since the 90s and it was so shocking that it completely made me question why I avoided Dennys so much. Normally the quality of the food makes me sick most of the time, but I can honestly say, even with battling morning sickness, I didn't have a stomach ache or any issues. The food was high quality and filling. If Dennys keeps training and hiring such detail oriented and attentive staff, I might as well dine there all the time. Trust me, I will be back to show my gratitude to Chang in the future. Could not be happier! Attention Denny's: keep up the unexpected quality of service and reward the hard workers like Chang! Keep up...
