IHOP — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

Today Jan28, my wife and I, visited your restaurant. When we arrived, and gave our name, they told us that the wait would be 10 minutes. We waited, and after about 15 minutes, we were seated on a booth. After waiting for about 10 minutes, a male waiter came to our table, and told us that he would help us in a little while. He could have asked us at that moment what we wanted to drink, but he didn't. After several minutes, the lady at the reception, noticed that we were still waiting for some service, and asked us what we would like to drink. We told her, and by that time, the male waiter approached our table, so she passed the order to him. But he got derailed with other orders, and again we waited for another 5 minutes until we finally got our drinks that were brought to us by a female waiter. After we have been seated on our booth for about 30 minutes, the male waiter took our order. We had to wait another 20 minutes to get our food! As a customer that has visited many restaurants, I can tell you that you have a big problem with the logistics of your service. People are nice, food is good, but the long wait and the sense that you don't matter as a customer, ruins the experience, like it happened to us today. 9 family members gathered at this IHOP to celebrate a birthday. We arrived at 7 pm on 3/29/14. The "drink hostess" immediately took our orders & assured us that our server would be with us shortly. The server did not come. Eventually I got up, to let the server know that we had been waiting for about 1/2 hour & were ready to order. Again, we were assured that she would be right with us. We waited another 1/2 hour & still no service. It appeared that there were only two servers on duty. The restaurant was busy, but not overcrowded. Some of my family members noticed that customers that had arrived before us had not been served either. After approximately 1 hour we gave up & went to another restaurant, where we were seated & served almost immediately. We love IHOP, but it will be a LONG time, if ever, before we return to this location. ...

Me and two others came in on memorial day and had a rather decent meal. The food was OK a bit lacking on flavor, but it came out hot. The cold brew coffee was nice as well. However, at this particular location earlier on in the day they only have one server available, I believe his name was David I could be wrong about that but he did an amazing job and was busting his butt to get to all the tables that needed help however, since he was the only person in sight and available, he was an able to be everywhere at once being the only server, this place is understaffed regularly and I’m assuming memorial day made it even worse anyhow overall it was a good experience although I definitely won’t come back to this location. I will still be going to IHOP...
