Sometimes, we plan one thing but end up randomly opting for something entirely different. Yet, it's these impromptu plans and spontaneous destinations that often turn the day into something extraordinary.
Here I find myself at Tea Elle Garden cafe, a charming spot known for its country style cafe that serves different belended teas along with breakfast and lunch. Having the breakfast on Sundays outside is like a gathering on mornings for random conversations and try different food to experience the satisfaction what our soul wants .
The conversations here evoke the spirit of "chai pe charcha," but with a twist—instead of various discussions over traditional Indian tea, the focus shifts to different tea varieties of western style.
There's a noticeable distinction in both ambiance and tea selection, reminiscent of the difference between class and mass. Opting for the Caramel Chai from the menu, I found its flavor enhanced with the addition of milk, as recommended. While I enjoyed the unique taste, it's essential to note that the tea experience here differs from the authentic Indian chai we're accustomed to; it's a delightful deviation more aligned with Western tea culture.
The cheesy chicken mushroom sautéed with onions and wrapped inside a spinach tortilla is a delight with every bite. It's intriguing how some people don't fancy mushrooms, despite their role as taste enhancers akin to sautéed onions. In fact often considered as vegetables , mushrooms which are fungi are neither a plant nor animal. Referred to as the elixir of life mushrooms hold a unique place in culinary and biological realms alike.
The garden omelette, comprising basic ingredients such as mushrooms, onions, spinach, and jack cheese, wasn't as flavorful as the previous dish. However, its taste was well-balanced, especially when paired with the perfectly roasted hash browns.
Finally, we arrive at the desserts, a delightful choice even during breakfast. These buttery, flaky, light golden scones infused with flavors like cranberry and butterscotch indeed tasted heavenly with each bite. Topping them with cream feels like indulging in sweet bliss, enhancing the tenderly delightful experience.
I will definitely come again...
Read moreMade reservations for my daughters first birthday for a party of twelve. Initially when we made the reservations we were told we would get half of the room for our party. This was not true. We were given two tables that seemed to be in the way of everyone else in the private area. When i arrived I was met at the door by the owner. I showed up on time and had a cake in hand. She seemed not to want to let me in and seemed to know nothing of my reservation. She then told me I couldn’t bring the cake in. Odd ? Then when I asked why she said no outside food. I replied that it was a birthday cake and no one told me that when making the reservations. She shrugged her shoulders and said you could bring it in but you can’t cut it. What the heck ??? I was initially very upset but being that it was my daughters birthday I didn’t want to make a scene. My mother stepped in and after a brief conversation I was told I had to sign a waiver which basically said they weren’t responsible if anyone got sick. No problem I signed it. We were treated like we were a nuisance. The other parties table was set up and nicely decorated and even the three party table behind us was decorated nicely. Ours had no utensils and no menus. We had to ask for menus and then we were rushed into ordering. My uncle asked for a menu and was immediately asked what he wanted. No one came to ask how we were doing during our meals. We weren’t even done eating when the bills arrived and man did they want to squeeze us dry. I obviously had no problem paying my bill but they racked on their own gratuity and charged $20 cake cutting fee ????? What the heck is going on. I scrambled thinking I’d have to go somewhere else to cut this cake for my daughters first birthday. After asking why the owner started arguing with us about it. I don’t understand why we were treated so badly. We were very polite, made reservations and kept to ourselves. It’s a one year olds birthday !!!! I hope this doesn’t happen to anybody else. Ultimately it didn’t ruin our special day but we were left wondering why we were treated that way. It was like we weren’t wanted...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. I made a reservation for a group of 8 seniors and we hoped to enjoy a classy tea and lunch. When we got there we were led to a back room that had not even been set up. There was no table linen and it was 3 small tables just pushed together. The tables didn't even look wiped and the mirrors were filthy and had smudge marks on them. The waitress was okay and had a lot of patience with taking our order, but the food was awful. The ciabatta bread was hard, the French toast one of our ladies ordered was hard to chew and when we told the waitress she just said "sorry" but did not offer to make it right. I've never seen an "orange" lobster bisque before but that was the soup of the day and it was as watery as chicken broth and no lobster to be seen. The tiny servings of dessert we ordered at the end were the best part of the meal. The dirty room we were served in, the sloppy presentation of the plates, the silverware wrapped in paper napkins and the plastic water glasses were very underwhelming. On the way home the ladies said it was the worst place they had eaten out of every outing they had gone on. I was so embarrassed. They had been looking forward to this. At least we could have had a clean room with nice linen. I used to love coming here and am not sure what happened. Below is a pic of the mirror and the size of the small tables. Now, imagine 4 of those pushed together to seat 8! So the worst part is they added 18 percent gratuity on the bill so we tipped them twice. The ladies were in such a hurry to leave that we didn’t check the bill thoroughly. I hope this place can make it right. Here is the photo of the room and the...
