WILL NEVER RECOMMEND!!! First off this place was recommended by many family and friends. I visited a few months ago and I wanted to get as much info as possible. My wedding isnât until 2020 but I like researching ahead of time. I went in and there was a woman sitting at the counter. I explained to her that this was my first vendor to visit and wanted to set up a consultation or get a quote. All the woman did was hand me a booklet and said that everything in the book is what they had. I explained to her that we were looking for a 2 teird cake with cupcakes. She said âWell you can have cupcakes any time. And only one wedding cake. You should really reconsider that.â I was pissed at that point. First off is she going to be paying for this cake I âshould haveâ?? No! Then I ask if I can Scheduale a consultation or get a quote that way I could tell my FiancĂŠ. She says âWe cannot set up a consultation or give you a quote unless you are choosing us as your vendorâ. WTH??? How would I know if I want you if youâre the first place I visit?? She was very rude and sassy to the point where I just walked out. You clearly donât need my business. This past Sunday my fiancĂŠ and my mom and dad came with us to a bridal Show in Valencia. Jillâs Cake Creations was there. Turns out the woman I was dealing with WAS THE OWNER! The owner was speaking like this to me the whole time! What a great way to run your business lady. If I could give ZERO...
Read moreJust left this place a few minutes ago and I am very disappointed by the service and the pastry I got here. My husband is dairy-free, so we opted to purchase a vegan butter croissant. The cashier (young, blonde woman) asks me if I'm vegan. I tell her no and she says the vegan croissant tastes like a donut. She then asks if we want anything else, I say no, and proceed to pay for the croissant. After paying, the cashier asks if anything else caught my eye. I told her I didn't pay super close attention to the offerings and that we just wanted to try the croissant because it was our first time. So she asks again if we want anything else and I said no thank you. She says "okaaay", kind of like condescending. I thank her and she says "yeah". No thank you or have a good day. The whole interaction with this cashier was just incredibly off-putting!
The croissant itself lacked a lot of flavor. The appearance and texture were perfect, but it didn't have that saltiness that is typically found in a croissant (even vegan ones). I was super excited to try something new and support a local small business, but this was just not it. Needless to say, this whole experience was disappointing and I will not...
Read moreLong story short ... I ordered my wedding cake, through Jillâs. I had made an appointment, which THEY called and changed last minute. When we came in for our tasting, she was very rude. She was upset with the new appointment time (which they technically changed it to ) She completely bullied me into getting cake flavors that I didnât want, and then I wanted a rustic style cake, but she again bullied me into getting some stupid boarding around it that I didnât want. She acted like I was crazy to want a rustic cake. I guess they werenât in style back then. Then she insisted on the ribbon selection (which I told her I didnât want) only to chose a different shade of brown for me. Itâs annoying because I recently/randomly saw a cake that I originally wanted, only to discover that she made it... why could she make the cake that I wanted? This was four years ago and she was pretty much âthe cake ladyâ to go to. All of sudden, thereâs a little more competition in this valley and now she can magically make the cake customers ask for? Sounds silly that Iâm complaining about being bullied, I should have just stood up for myself, but I was younger and...
